Brooklyn Beckham appears to be maintaining radio silence as brothers Romeo and Cruz congratulated dad David Beckham on his knighthood.

The former England football captain, 50, officially became a Knight of the Realm this week after years of being snubbed.

Sir David took pride of place on the King’s Birthday Honours list, alongside actor Gary Oldman and The Who frontman Roger Daltrey, plus Damehood recipients Elaine Paige, novelist Pat Barker and pottery designer Emma Bridgewater.

Sir David, who previously received an OBE in 2003, described the honour as ‘incredibly humbling’ and called it ‘an emotional moment for me to share with my family.’

22-year-old Romeo was the first to post in support of his dad, describing himself as ‘proud’ in a post to his Instagram Stories. This was followed by a message from youngest son Cruz, 20, who echoed the sentiment.

Notably silent was eldest child Brooklyn, 26, whose silence on social media has only exacerbated rumours of a ‘feud’ between him and his parents.

Posting on his Instagram Stories, Romeo shared a snap of himself and his dad at what looked like a swish party.

In the picture, the future knight looks awkwardly at the camera while holding a glass of wine, clad in a white tuxedo and black bow tie.

Romeo, meanwhile, can be seen grinning at his old man.

‘So so proud of you,’ he captioned the post, signing off with four heart emojis.

Cruz also shared a loving tribute to his dad, posting an image of Sir David looking serene against a woodland backdrop.

‘I’m so proud dad I love you,’ he wrote.

‘Sir David Beckham,’ he added. ‘Has a nice ring to it.’

Not forgetting about mum Victoria, 51, Cruz also shared an image of his parents looking regal on a staircase, with the caption ‘Sir David Beckham and Lady Victoria.’

Meanwhile, Brooklyn has yet to acknowledge his father’s achievement on social media – posting only pictures of pretzel bags, hot sauce, caviar and wine to his own Instagram Stories.

Brooklyn’s apparent lack of response hasn’t gone down well with his dad’s fans, who flooded the youngster’s social media with messages urging him to talk to his parents.

‘Respect for DAVID BECKHAM, the true legend,’ wrote farid8463 on a picture of Brooklyn and wife Nicola Peltz, 30.

‘Call your parents they won’t be there one day……..’ said BabyModels1.

‘So disrespectful. You will regret your behavior,’ agreed dogs.who.dine.

‘Speak to your family you only have one !’ said karen.walton7.

David’s wife Victoria has also paid tribute to her ‘knight in shining armour’ on Instagram.

In a heartwarming post, she wrote, ‘Sir @davidbeckham!!! What an honour, I couldn’t be prouder of you. Your dedication to the things that matter most — your country, your work, your passion, and most of all, your family — has never wavered. The way you’ve touched so many lives over the years with kindness and humility speaks volumes about the man you are and continues to inspire us every day. But above all else, I’m so, so proud to call you mine. I love you so much xxxx’

Sir David was knighted for his services to sport and charity, including his work with Unicef in their campaign Malaria No More.

In a statement to the PA News Agency, he said: ‘Growing up in East London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour.

‘To have played for and captained my country was the greatest privilege of my career and literally a boyhood dream come true. Off the pitch I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to represent Britain around the world and work with incredible organisations that are supporting communities in need and inspiring the next generation.

‘I’m so lucky to be able to do the work that I do and I’m grateful to be recognised for work that gives me so much fulfilment. It will take a little while for the news to sink in but I’m immensely proud and it’s such an emotional moment for me to share with my family.’

This means that Victoria, who received an OBE in 2017, will get a new title too – becoming known as Lady Victoria Beckham.

Sir David’s honour comes amid spiralling rumours of disharmony in the Beckham family home, with whispers of a feud between the Beckhams and other son Brooklyn.

Rumours began heating up after and wife Nicola were a no-show for his dad’s 50th birthday celebrations in April.

Brooklyn and actress Nicola were wed in 2022 – and have seemingly kept their distance from David and Victoria since.

The following month, Brooklyn added fuel to the fire by vowing to ‘always choose’ his wife.

Sharing a video of himself riding a motorbike with Nicola on his back, Brooklyn wrote: ‘My whole world x I will love you forever x

‘I always choose you baby x you’re the most amazing person i know xx me and you forever baby.’

This led to backlash from some followers, who took it as a sign of ‘disrespect’ toward his parents.

Speculation intensified this week as it was spotted that Brooklyn has covered up a tattoo dedicated to his mother.

He used to have ‘mama’s boy’ tattooed over his heart in a typewriter-style font, referencing his close relationship with his former Spice Girl mum.

However, that has now been hidden beneath a sketch of Nicola’s bouquet from their wedding day.

Following the missed birthday bash, David reached out to Brooklyn to tell him that he was ‘missed.’

Posting on Instagram, David shared a series of pictures from a trip to Scotland he’d taken with Romeo and Cruz, explaining: ‘Six months ago I planned a trip with my boys at the start of last week to camp and fish for my 50th was so much fun.’

A few hours later, he shared a selfie he’d taken with Romeo and Cruz, tagging in absentee son Brooklyn with the comment: ‘You were missed.’

‘Fun times in Scotland, he wrote.
