Kelly Osbourne is the first of her family to speak out following the death of Black Sabbath rocker Ozzy Osbourne on Tuesday.

It’s been a devastating week for the Osbourne family, as 40-year-old Kelly, alongside her siblings Jack, Aimee, Louis, and mum Sharon, posted a statement announcing Ozzy’s death aged 76.

‘It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love,’ they said.

Kelly is now the first of the family to take to social media with her own personal tribute.

The reality TV star posted a simple statement on her Instagram story, writing: ‘I feel unhappy I am so sad. I love the best friend I ever had.’

Ozzy and Kelly were known for their close relationship, and he got to see Slipknot rocker Sid Wilson propose to her at the Back to the Beginning show weeks before he died.

The show, held in the band’s native Birmingham’s Villa Park on July 5, marked the first time Black Sabbath had performed together in 20 years, and was Ozzy’s farewell to the stage following years of health issues.

When Sid got down on one knee backstage – a moment that was captured on film – Ozzy couldn’t help but provide a gag.

‘F**k off, you’re not marrying my daughter, are you?’ he said, as the whole room exploded into laughter before Sid addressed Kelly.

‘Kelly, you know I love you more than anything,’ he said. ‘Nothing would make me happier than to spend the rest of my life with you.’

‘So, in front of your family and all of our friends, Kelly, will you marry me?’, he asked her.
