Lola Young cancels tour and ‘everything for the forseeable future’ after onstage collapse
'I'm going away for a while.'

Singer Lola Young has revealed her entire tour has been cancelled and she will be taking a step back from her career.
The news comes after the 24-year-old collapsed onstage at a recent concert at the All Things Go Music Festival at Forest Hills Stadium, New York City.
Footage circulating of the harrowing moment shows Lola pacing the stage and wearily singing in complete contrast to her usual high-energy performances, before she gestured offstage to indicate a problem and suddenly fell to the floor backward.
Now, in a statement shared on social media, the star said: ‘I’m going away for a while.
‘It pains me to say I have to cancel everything for the foreseeable future. Thank you for all the love and support. I’m so sorry to let anyone down who has bought a ticket to see me, it hurts me more than you know.
‘Obviously you will be entitled to a full refund.
‘I really hope you’ll give me a second chance once I’ve had some time to work on myself and come back stronger. Love you all, Lola x.’
Fans and famous friends of the singer were quick to share their support, with Queer Eye star Tan France commenting on the post: ‘Love that you’re taking the time you need to work on what’s best for you as a human, first and foremost. Sending so much positive energy your way! ❤️’
Singer Kehlani commented: ‘You come first!!!’ while actress Jameela Jamil chimed in with three clapping hands emojis.
Emily in Paris actress Camille Razat commented: ‘You deserve a break ❤️????❤️ take care and rest. Mental healthy is more important than a career. Love you.’

The singer’s chaotic, confessional single Messy became the most-streamed song by a British artist in the world earlier this year. She recently followed it up with a new album, I’m Only F**ing Myself*.
After the collapse on Sunday, Lola initially only pulled out of one performance – her scheduled slot at All Things Go DC.
‘I’m sorry to confirm that I won’t be playing all things go in DC today. I love this job and I never take commitments and audience for granted so I’m sorry to those who will be disappointed by this.

Prior to the incident, Lola had told the crowd she had been through a ‘tricky’ couple of days, as per Billboard.
She added: ‘Sometimes life can really make you feel like you can’t continue, but you know what, today I woke up and I made the decision to come here…
‘I wanted to be here and perform, I didn’t want to wallow in my sadness… and sometimes life can throw you lemons, and you just gotta make lemonade.’
