The star of Netflix’s Million Dollar Beach House, Sara Burack, has been killed in a hit-and-run.

The 40-year-old was reportedly found unconscious in the Hamptons, with a manhunt now underway for the driver.

The police have said a bystander found the broker on Thursday (June 19) afternoon shortly before 3pm on Hampton Bays road, police said, according to Newsday.

Police officers arrived and found Burack unconscious and lying in the road.

She was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital and later pronounced dead.

The police have not yet issued details on a driver or car model, but a manhunt is said to be underway for the motorist, who is still at large.

The real estate agent appeared on the US reality show Million Dollar Beach House, which followed the Hamptons’ youngest and exclusive group of brokers based at Nest Seekers agency.

Burack had worked as a real estate agent at the Nest Seekers International agency, which is a global firm specialising in luxury properties, as seen on the Netflix show.

It’s been reported that Burack left the agency over a year ago, but still kept in touch with her former colleagues.

This included the Nest Seekers regional manager Geoff Gifkins, who has paid tribute to her.

Gifkins said in a statement supplied to Newsday: ‘Our thoughts and prayers are with family and friends.

‘Please be kind and respectful as this is a tremendous loss to her parents and close friends.’

When it first aired, Million Dollar Beach House was billed as East Coast spin on Selling Sunset, with personal dramas alongside the all-important luxurious listings.
