Radiohead have just announced a string of UK and Europe tour dates, breaking a seven year wait for over the moon fans.

There’s been a flurry of wild excitement for Radiohead fans waiting patiently for some activity from the Creep hitmakers since their last live performance on August 1, 2018, which signed off their A Moon Shaped Pool tour.

After intense speculation, the band – made up of Thom Yorke, Jonny Greenwood, Colin Greenwood, Ed O’Brien and Philip Selway – have now announced they will be putting on 20 shows, landing in London for performances on November 21, 22, 24, and 25.

In a message to fans today, Radiohead’s Philip Selway said: ‘Last year, we got together to rehearse, just for the hell of it. After a seven year pause, it felt really good to play the songs again and reconnect with a musical identity that has become lodged deep inside all five of us.

‘It also made us want to play some shows together, so we hope you can make it to one of the upcoming dates. For now, it will just be these ones but who knows where this will all lead.’

How to get Radiohead tickets

To help get tickets directly to fans and to minimise interception from touts and bots, tickets will only be accessible by registering at

Registration opens this Friday 5th September at 10am BST and closes 72 hours later at 10pm BST on Sunday 7th September.

The ticket sale itself begins on 12th September.

The ticket sale itself begins on 12th September, with fans urged to register before to avoid bots and touts.

This comes after fans found mysterious Radiohead flyers listing tour dates in London, Copenhagen, Madrid, Bologna, and Berlin.

Either the now-confirmed tour was in the works, or Redditers said this was the ‘most elaborate prank ever’.

But the plot thickened earlier today when one very excited fan appeared to happen upon W.A.S.T.E HQ – the official home of Radiohead-related news, tour tickets and merchandise since 1991 – as it supposedly revealed the whole unannounced tour schedule.

While no such tour exists on the site now, the poster shared what they claimed was a screenshot of the dates during the glitch – and these dates are now confirmed.

Bologna, Italy – Unipol Arena

Flyers for the London dates were found in a rack in the Barbican centre, in the ‘hall underneath the library’ – though no one is quite sure where they came from. One fan went to check out the site and confirmed the flyers were ‘exactly as described’.

‘WERE NOT SCAREMONGERING. THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING,’ shouted _Albengl0w, while yodans simply wrote: ‘BLOOD OF JESUS.’

‘This is genuinely the best day of my life,’ said sooshieee, while lilbelle156 commented: ‘Those of you who were doubting yesterday, remember this.’

I think it's real – London dates

Meanwhile, ottoandinga88 was more cautious: ‘I’m willing to concede this is getting more likely but I’m still not taking annual leave until W.A.S.T.E. are in my gmail.’

This doesn’t come as a total shock for fans, as Radiohead suggested future activity in March when they formed a new legal entity, establishing a limited liability partnership (LLP) with the name RHEUK25 (perhaps representing Europe and UK 2025 tour dates).

They have previously done this before an album or tour announcement. This legal action allows Radiohead to operate outside the restrictions of record labels and other companies.

Their latest record, A Moon Shaped Pool, was released in May 2016, months after they registered the Dawn Chorus LLP.

Last year, frontman Thom said he ‘really doesn’t give a f***’ if fans want a Radiohead return, and when asked by Australian outlet Double J.

‘No offence to anyone and err, thanks for caring,’ The Fake Plastic Trees singer continued. ‘But I think we’ve earned the right to do what makes sense to us without having to explain ourselves or be answerable to anyone else’s historical idea of what we should be doing.’

Bassist Colin Greenwood said in September last year that Radiohead had been rehearsing again, telling Hay Festival Querétaro: ‘We did some rehearsals about two months ago in London, just to play the old songs. And it was really fun, I had a really good time.’

Before keyboardist Jonny Greenwood was admitted to ‘intensive care’ in July 2024 over an infection – from which he’s since recovered – he said that the band were all busy on separate projects.

He told The Guardian: ‘Well, The Smile are on tour, Ed [O’Brien] is making another solo record, Colin [Greenwood] is playing bass with Nick Cave – they’ve just done five sold-out nights at the Sydney Opera House – so lots of music is being made.’

He went on to say that all members of the band were working, ‘just not as Radiohead.’

‘We’re still talking all the time, we just need to make a plan and get some time together sorted out in advance,’ he continued. ‘I’ve never been very good at that. Too busy dicking around in this studio.’
