Romeo Beckham has seemingly hit back after ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull took to social media addressing rumours she dated Brooklyn Beckham.

The Beckham family has been through the public wringer in recent weeks after eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz’s absence from dad Sir David’s 50th birthday bash sparked reports of a rift between them.

Speculation only heightened after the former England footballer was awarded a knighthood and celebrated Father’s Day all without a word from his 26-year-old son, as the rest of the family – Victoria, Romeo, and Cruz – showered him with praise online.

Now, just days after it was reported that Romeo, 22, split from his girlfriend of seven months, Kim, she has attempted to set the record straight.

There were rumours that things had ended between the couple due to Brooklyn and his wife’s disapproval. Not only that, but Brooklyn had previously dated Kim in 2016, which had already caused friction.

In a new post to her Story, Kim wrote: ‘I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on.

‘I will not continue to receive the harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.

‘I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at 16.

‘I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation and set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.’

However, it looks like Romeo has his own version of events, taking to Insta later in the evening with a cryptic caption.

On his Story, he shared a quote from 1953 film Roman Holiday with Audrey Hepburn’s character saying: ‘What the world needs is a return to sweetness and decency.’

Underneath, he wrote: ‘Be nice to people and don’t spread unnecessary lies,’ followed by a seemingly sarcastic kissing emoji.

Meanwhile, Kim notably attended David’s 50th birthday with Romeo and is said to have been well-liked by the British power couple.

A source actually told The Mail that Posh and Becks were disappointed to see the relationship end.

‘It happened a couple of weeks ago, and relations have remained friendly between them,’ they previously told the publication.

‘David and Victoria would hate for the view to be that they split because of Nicola and Brooklyn, because that simply isn’t the case.

‘The fact is that Kim has got a really busy career as a DJ and Romeo has a busy work life too. There is lots of travelling for both of them, and having a relationship at this time isn’t all that conducive to their lives,’ the insider added.

Kim’s statement comes after Romeo was spotted on a night out with German influencer Caroline Daur just last week. As for Kim, she’s been seen on a sunny vacation with her friend Lila Moss, the daughter of supermodel Kate Moss.

There has been plenty of theorising about what could have happened between Brooklyn and the rest of the family to cause the apparent distance.

In his recent Father’s Day post, Sir David wrote he would ‘always be here for you no matter what…’ in a message to all of his children and tagged Brooklyn in the post alongside snaps of the pair together.

At the end of May, some fans accused Brooklyn of making a dig at his parents after he posted a video with Nicola, whom he wed in 2022, and said he would ‘always choose’ her.

Shortly after, his youngest brother, Cruz, 20, posted on his Story encouraging people to ‘be kind and tell the truth’.
