Louis Theroux ‘spearheading Adolescence spin-off’ after Netflix phenomenon takes world by storm
The follow-up show is expected to air on Netflix.

Adolescence took the world by storm earlier this year, and Netflix reportedly has big plans for a follow-up.
The four-part one-take drama explored how young boys can be radicalised into misogynists online, sparking conversations among parents and politicians alike.
The episodes follow the psychological fallout after a 13-year-old boy Jamie (Owen Cooper) murders a girl Katie (Emilia Holliday) from his class at school.
Now, it’s reported that Louis Theroux, through his Mindhouse production company, is developing a documentary exploring the impact of online misogyny on young boys.
It’s said filming for the series has already started with expectations it will air on Netflix, although fans could be until next year for any signs of the project.

A source told The Sun: ‘It makes sense to produce a documentary looking at this deeply uncomfortable area, particularly in the wake of the drama which stunned the nation.

The newspaper notes that the documentary will explore the impact of people like Andrew Tate, while Louis talks to 20-year-old UK vlogger HSTikkyTokky, whose real name is Harrison Sullivan.
The online personality was suspended from live videos on YouTube last year for ‘hateful behaviour’, while he’s referred to women as ‘things’ and ‘slu*s’ in the past.
On TikTok, Harrison has shared videos of him trying to get Louis arrested while trying to chat to him in the street.

‘If we were to go again, would I like it to go again? With a different story completely? Yes,’ he told Variety.
Graham said the focus would shift to a new family and he went on to discuss the victim Katie’s family, which was a perspective absent from the Netflix drama.

We’ve seen that many a time. We haven’t really seen this side.’
However, he pointed out that any follow-up wouldn’t recapture the same success as the original run.
‘That’s once in a lifetime,’ he said. ‘We tapped straight into the zeitgeist. You’ve just had something that’s gone everywhere. I mean, number one in Brazil? Number one in Saudi Arabia?’
Adolescence is available to stream on Netflix.
