Romeo Beckham’s ex-girlfriend Kim Turnbull has taken to social media to address the Brooklyn Beckham romance rumours.

The Beckham family has been through the public wringer in recent weeks after eldest son Brooklyn and his wife Nicola Peltz’s absence from dad Sir David’s 50th birthday bash sparked rumours of a rift between them.

The past week speculation has heightened after the former England footballer was awarded a Knighthood and celebrated Father’s Day all without a word from his 26-year-old son as the rest of the family – Victoria, Romeo and Cruz – showered him with praise online.

Now, just days after it was reported that Romeo, 22, split from his girlfriend of seven months, Kim, she has come to Instagram to set the record straight.

There were rumours that things had ended between the couple due to Nicola and Brooklyn’s disapproval. Not only that, but that Brooklyn had previously dated Kim in 2016 which had already caused a rift between them.

In an new post to her story, Nicola wrote: ‘I’ve avoided speaking on this topic to prevent adding fuel to the fire, however it’s come to a point where I feel the need to address it so I can move on.

‘I will not continue to receive the harassment or be embarrassed on the basis of lies, to fit a certain narrative.

‘I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question. Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at 16.

‘I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation and set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.’

Kim notably attended David’s 50th birthday with Romeo and is said to have been well-liked by the British power couple who were disappointed to see the relationship end, a source told The Mail about the recent break-up.

‘It happened a couple of weeks ago and relations have remained friendly between them.

‘David and Victoria would hate for the view to be that they split because of Nicola and Brooklyn because that simply isn’t the case.

‘The fact is that Kim has got a really busy career as a DJ and Romeo has a busy work life too, there is lots of travelling for both of them and having a relationship at this time isn’t all that conducive to their lives,’ the insider added.

Meanwhile, Romeo was spotted on a night out with German influencer Caroline Daur just last week. And Kim has just been seen on a sunny vacation with her friend Lila Moss – the daughter of supermodel Kate Moss.

There has been plenty of theorising about what could have happened between Brooklyn and the rest of the family to cause the apparent distant.

In his recent Father’s Day post, Sir David wrote he would ‘always be here for you no matter what…’ in a message to all of his children, and tagged Brooklyn in the post alongside photos of the pair together.

At the end of May some fans accused Brooklyn of making a dig at his parents after he posted a picture of his wife and said he was ‘always choose’ her.

Shortly after, his other brother Cruz, 20, posted on his story encouraging people to ‘be kind and tell the truth’.
