Sabrina Carpenter has been met with a wave of backlash from fans after sharing the cover for her new album, Man’s Best Friend.

The Espresso singer, 26, sent us all into meltdown last week when she dropped new single Manchild, with many convinced that the lyrics refer to her relationship with ex-boyfriend Barry Keoghan.

Hot on the heels of her latest earworm, the 26-year-old announced that her next offering – a follow-up to Short N’ Sweet – will be released on August 29.

Taking to Instagram earlier today, the Grammy-winner unveiled the artwork imagery, which showed her on her knees in a black minidress and heels.

She could be seen posing for the camera and holding her hand up to a man’s trouser leg, as he stood over her and gripped a fistful of her hair.

The second picture in the post included a zoomed-in photo of a dog wearing a tag adorned with ‘Man’s Best Friend’.

‘My new album, Man’s Best Friend, is out on August 29, 2025,’ she captioned the post. ‘I can’t wait for it to be yours x.’

Although followers were delighted at the prospect of new music from Sabrina, her accompanying photoshoot left many ‘uncomfortable’.

Flocking to social media, users branded the album cover ‘disturbing’, and begged the Please Please Please star to ‘get up’.

Below the announcement on Instagram, Edersoaresx penned: ‘Lol this cover art is so disgusting. As a fan I don’t like it :(.’
