Sam Thompson’s famous new ‘love interest’ revealed after Zara McDermott split

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! winner Sam Thompson is moving on from ex Zara McDermott with another former Love Island contestant.

The former Made in Chelsea star, 32, split from girlfriend of five years Zara, 28, earlier this year, with her now confirming her romance with One Direction star Louis Tomlinson.

And it appears Sam is also moving on himself, with reports claiming he has been exchanging flirty messages with series nine contestant Samie Elishi, 25.

Samie is best known for entering the villa as a bombshell back in 2023 and being coupled up with Kai Fagan and Tom Clare, the latter of which she reached the final of the show with and left in third place.

A source told The Sun: ‘Sam found the split and its public fall-out very hard, but Samie has put a smile back on his face.

‘She is a stunning girl and he’s told a few pals about her. He seems excited.’

They added: ‘Obviously it’s early days, but clearly he has a thing for Love Islanders!’

Samie confirmed her split from Tom back in 2023, with the pair insisting at the time that they were ‘still on good terms’.

The reality TV star did not give a reason for their split but admitted he is ‘gutted’ their relationship has ended.

He penned at the time: ‘Didn’t think I’d be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways. 

‘We are still on good terms and I have nothing but love and respect for her. I’m gutted it’s some to an end but I truly wish Samie the best.’

Meanwhile, Zara and Louis confirmed their romance after the pair were snapped together in Malibu, California last week.

The pair stopped at Soho Beach House for a late ocean-side lunch and were snapped looking dressed down as they entered the members-only club.

Since the pair hard-launched, there have been reports that Zara has already been introduced to Louis’ family, including his makeup artist sister Lottie Tomlinson and twins Daisy and Phoebe.

A friend told The Sun: ‘Zara has already met all the family, and they can tell that she has made Louis giddy.

‘It’s the first time in a long time that they have seen him happy. They think Zara is super wholesome and health-conscious, so they are happy he is with someone who shuns the party life.’

Rumours began last month when the pair were spotted on a romantic getaway in Suffolk.

The pair were seen together just three months after Zara’s split from Sam, who was said to be ‘hurting’ seeing his ex of five years ‘move on so quickly’.

Zara and Louis further fuelled rumours they were now an item after posting similar videos on Instagram.

The pair both shared posts just minutes apart from the Stereophonics concert at The Wiltern theatre in Los Angeles.

The next day, she posted a photo out at brunch, with eagle-eyed fans noticing his wrist tattoo in the snap.

A source revealed that Zara’s ex, Made in Chelsea star Sam, is focusing on his career, but seeing her grow close to the former boyband member hasn’t been easy.

An insider told Metro: ‘Sam is hurting after seeing the photos of Zara and Louis on a date.

‘He’s been dealing with the heartbreak of his split from Zara – it’s only been a few months, and they were together for five years as well as living together.

‘Seeing her move on so quickly isn’t easy, but he’s focusing on himself and has a lot going on in his career going forward.’
