Spice Girls reunion dealt major blow following Mel C’s latest update
We can dream.

Despite Mel B’s best efforts, it looks as though a Spice Girls reunion could be on ice for the foreseeable future as Mel C has announced a solo record and tour.
‘My new album is done and ready to go,’ Mel C -real name Melanie Chisholm – said of her ninth solo album.
Spice Girls fans won’t be too made up with the news, as Scary Spice Mel B got them all excited recently when she said in a viral confession trend on TikTok that she loves badgering her former bandmates for a reunion tour.
In the video, she said: ‘Unfortunately I do love… Dressing like it’s the 90s, putting evil eye stickers on EVERYTHING, asking the Spice group when we are going on tour, meditating every day, singing Wannabe rap to anyone who will listen, watching ‘how to get rid of a body’ documentaries, hoovering at 2am.’
However, Mel C seems to have solo priorities right now, which could scupper Mel B’s plans of a reunion anytime soon.
‘The last few albums, I’ve been leaning more towards electronic pop music. And with this one I really wanted to embrace that more, with dance music and all the DJing I’ve been doing,’ she told The Mirror at the launch of Ben Forster’s new album, Musical’s Greatest Hits, in London.

The album is done and news will be coming soon.
‘I feel like I’m still learning and growing – I just love to sing, to perform, as well as DJing – and I wanted to combine everything together for this album. I can’t wait to get out there and perform it.’
The group last reunited for a tour in 2019, but without Posh Spice Victoria, who is well into the fashion world now and appears to have put her popstar days behind her.
It seems despite the cold news on a reunion, the five 90s Wannabe hitmakers are still mostly firm friends.
Emma Bunton attended Mel B’s wedding recently, while Victoria Beckham and Mel C shared well-wishes online as they could not be in attendance.
However, one notable absentee from the wedding and any online well wishes was Geri Halliwell
