Amazon Prime fans ‘hooked on every episode’ of gripping thriller ahead of season 3

Amazon Prime Video users are rushing to binge an addictive TV thriller ahead of season three dropping this week.

Reacher, starring Alan Ritchson, first hit our screens in 2022, and is based on the hugely popular Jack Reacher novels by Lee Child.

The acclaimed program follows the 42-year-old as the titular character – a former US Army military officer with huge intellect and abilities, as he goes up against a string of dangerous criminals.

The third series is hitting our screens on February 20 with three new episodes, and will continue dropping on Thursdays.

It currently commands a huge Rotten Tomatoes score of 95% from impressed critics, compared to 84% from viewers.

Raving about the show on the platform, Tiago S wrote: ‘Great action, drama, crime tv show… got me hooked on every single episode.’

‘Excellent. More please. I’ve read every book and I can’t think of how this first season could have been done any better,’ Billy K agreed.

Bowwow B posted: ‘I was happily surprised at how quickly I became engaged in the story. Binged Season 1 over two nights and had no complaints.

‘Quick pace, some great fight choreography, and even enough comedic moments and asides to bridge the gritty, ultraviolent scenes.’

As Jonathan C added: ‘Wow you get hooked in the first 10 min. I couldn’t stop watching it , a must see [sic].’

The first season of Reacher premiered in February, 2022, with a second series beginning on December 15, 2023.

Considering we’ve been waiting more than a year for the new episodes, it’s fair to say that fans are more than excited for the upcoming batch.

The official synopsis reads: ‘In the third season of the action-packed series, Reacher hurtles into the dark heart of a vast criminal enterprise when trying to rescue an undercover DEA informant whose time is running out.

‘There he finds a world of secrecy and violence – and confronts some unfinished business from his own past.’

Teasing what we can expect, Alan recently vowed: ‘Season 3 is by far the best season we’ve ever made.

‘Things get pretty dangerous. Things get — and I mean this, I would never lead you astray — there’s been a little tiny something in each season where I’ve been like, “I wish we could do that better”.

‘Start to finish, this is high octane action, this is peak TV and I cannot wait for everyone to watch this.

‘In Persuader, Reacher has to go undercover, and he’s got to do some heavy lifting, both to stay alive and to find someone he’s looking for. Things get quite dangerous. But he also comes across his most formidable foe yet.’
