Billionaire pop star rumoured to headline Glastonbury 10 years since last album
She almost headlined in 2023.

It’s been 10 long years since the release of her last album – but rumour has it that the iconic Rihanna is set to headline this year’s Glastonbury festival while we wait.
Fans have been on tenterhooks waiting for the Barbadian songstress to drop new music for 10 years now, with the businesswoman and superstar keeping busy releasing new lines of underwear and makeup instead.
Despite her last album, Anti, getting the best reviews of her career, RiRi has chosen to spend the past decade focusing on her businesses and her growing family with A$AP Rocky.
The Fenty founder hasn’t toured since her Anti World Tour in 2016, which included a stop at London’s Wembley Stadium.
However, the billionaire musician is reportedly set to return to the stage with a major residency at the London Stadium at around the same time as this year’s Glastonbury.
Music insiders have speculated that the timing of her shows at the London Stadium – formerly the Olympic Stadium – could mean that an appearance at Worthy Farm is also imminent.

The source claims that further concerts could take place on July 8, 9, 11 and 12 – mere days after this year’s Glastonbury comes to an end.
Meanwhile, a second source told the paper that the star’s promoters are ‘saving’ the venue for her.

‘It’s been a running joke how long Rihanna’s ninth album has taken to be released, but finally, the wait is almost over,’ a source told DailyMail in August.
According to the insider, the Breakin’ Dishes singer has spanned from reggae to hip hop to pop in an attempt to find her sound.
In October 2023, it was reported she signed an eye-watering £32million comeback deal with Live Nation, so we’re closer than ever to Anti’s follow-up.
Plenty of collaborations have been promised too for this long-awaited record, including Alesso and Diplo.
‘She wants it to sound fresh, and because of where Rihanna is at in her life, practically everything was scrapped,’ they shared. ‘The majority was canned completely when she went back to the drawing board earlier this year.’
Despite scrapping most of the album, it seems now things are coming together and the Fenty Beauty founder is eyeing up next year for a release date.

Last year’s festival saw Dua Lipa headline on Friday with Coldplay following for a record-breaking headline show on Saturday.
Sza closed the weekend to a mixed response, with the star saying she was incredibly nervous before taking to the iconic Pyramid Stage.
Rihanna has never played at Worthy Farm, having reportedly been forced to pull out of the 2023 lineup due to her pregnancy with Riot Rose.
Elton John, Guns n’ Roses, and Arctic Monkeys were then named as headliners, with the Rocketman icon closing the weekend to thunderous applause.

With A$AP Rocky, the Work hitmaker has two children; sons RZA, who was born May 13, 2022, and Riot, born August 1, 2023.
The insider suggested late 2024 or early 2025 for this new album release, giving time for vinyl pressings to be completed.
