Sam Fender will be rocking the Brit Awards 2025 stage next weekend as he’s the latest act confirmed to perform at the ceremony.

This year’s Brits will see Jack Whitehall return as host on March 1 at London’s O2 Arena with the likes of Charli XCX, Raye, Dua Lipa and even The Beatles among those nominated for top gongs.

Homesick singer Sam, 30, will grace the stage to perform just days after the release of his third album, People Watching, which is set to drop this Friday.

He no doubt hopes to clinch the number one following the success of his first two chart-topping records; 2019’s Hypersonic Missiles and 2021’s Seventeen Going Under.

Sharing his anticipation to take the Brits stage, Sam – who is a favourite to headline Glastonbury – said: ‘Me and the band are so excited to perform at The Brit Awards this year – we can’t wait to get up on that stage again!’

A post on the official Brits Instagram account teased that the singer will deliver an ‘impassioned’ performance thanks to his host of stadium anthems.

The final act confirmed as a performer is Lola Young, who has taken TikTok by storm recently with her viral single Messy.

The 24-year-old popstar said: ‘I am super excited and grateful to be performing at The Brit Awards this year. It’s a dream come true and an absolute honour to share this moment alongside so many incredible artists. To be nominated is a huge achievement for me and I’m so thankful for all the support I’ve received.’

Sam and Lola will be joining Jade, Myles Smith, Sabrina Carpenter, Shaboozey, Teddy Swims and The Last Dinner Party who were previously announced to perform.

It’s promising to be a bustling year for Sam who will also be touring to support his new album.

The musician will be performing across stadiums this summer including three nights at St James’ Park in Newcastle and one special night at the London Stadium in June.

He has also lined up a set of outdoor shows but there’s also speculation Sam could be announced as a Glastonbury headliner thanks to a noticeable gap in his schedule that June weekend.

Last year, Sam gave fans a taste of his single People Watching along with another track, Nostalgia’s Lie, both of which feature on the album.

In an interview on Sky Arts’ Johnson and Knopfler’s Music Legends, Sam explained why there was a three-year gap between his last album and this one.

‘The third one we started rushing and I thought, “No, we have got to take the time”,’ he shared.

‘I want to do the best I possibly can. I’d rather it be late and great than early and s***e.’

The hottest acts in music will descend on London’s O2 next weekend for the Brits, which will air live on ITV.
