British comedian Frank Skinner has revealed he secretly married his longtime partner Cath Mason after 24 years together.

The 68-year-old and Cath started dating in 2003 while she was working as a receptionist at his management company.

In 2012, the couple welcomed their first child, son Buzz.

Now, Frank has revealed they had a low-key ceremony on Monday at Camden Town Hall with no guests.

It was only attended by Buzz, 12, who was his parents’ witness.

Frank revealed he was a married man on his podcast Frank Off The Radio, to the shock of his co-stars Emily Dean and Pierre Novellie.

He announced: ‘Can you brace yourselves? You’ll never guess what I did on Monday – I got married. I got f***ing married!

‘Don’t be offended, we didn’t invite anyone. Buzz was a witness. We got married not in a room but on the stairs at Camden Town Hall.’

Frank shared that he had proposed to Cath, but she was reluctant to have a big white wedding.

He explained: ‘I said to Cath, “Will you marry me?” and she said “I’m not having a f***ing party! I don’t want a load of guests. I’m not going in a church. I don’t want a ring. I’m not wearing a stupid f****ing white dress.”

‘So it went on, “I’m not doing this!” I said, “Oh, forget it.’

‘And then about two weeks later I said, “Okay we’ll do it your way.” I felt bad for the friends. I would have invited everyone.’
