Could this effect the results?

Celebrity Big Brother fans were left raging after realising they had accidentally voted out the wrong contestant.

Unlike the civilian season in which viewers ‘vote to evict’ their least favourite housemate, the star-studded version of the ITV reality series has switched things up by making it ‘vote to save’ instead.

In last night’s episode, three housemates were nominated to be up for the chance of eviction – Mickey Rourke, Jack P. Shepherd and Michael Fabricant – with varying reasons across the board including a killer nomination from JoJo to Mickey after his homophobic comments.

As voting opened to the general public, however, many did not get the memo that they had to vote for their favourite, not the person they wanted to see booted out.

This meant they squandered their five free app votes.

‘Ain’t no way I just voted to save Mickey thinking I was voting to evict…….. KMS. Lesson learnt,’ mai comiserated.

‘Guys why is it vote to save and not vote to evict. I nearly spent all 5 votes on Michael ffs,’ Brad Sell shared.

‘Did anyone else accidentally just vote to evict instead of save,’ clauds complained.

‘Just realised it was vote to save instead of vote to evict and I’ve just voted for the same person 5 times,’ Charlie echoed.

‘Why is celeb bb vote to save but normal bb is vote to evict??’ Amy asked.

Whether the mix-up affects the results remains to be seen. The audience will find out who is leaving first during Friday’s live eviction show followed by a 75-minute Late & Live special co-hosted by AJ Odudu and Will Best with an interview with the evictee.

There have been calls by fans across the board for Hollywood star Mickey to be booted out of the house following a string of bad behaviour.

This includes ‘inappropriately’ looking at and touching AJ, and receiving an official warning over homophobic remarks.

The 72-year-old actor initially refused to nominate anyone when he was called into the diary room but he eventually agreed and chose former Tory MP Michael for his involvement in politics and EastEnders’ star Patsy Palmer for her ‘cooking’.

Elsewhere, presenter Trisha Goddard has been praised by fans for her courage as she makes Big Brother history by becoming the first contestant to have cancer treatment while in the house.

Meanwhile, Trisha has been candid about her cancer treatment (Picture: ITV / Celebrity Big Brother)

‘It’s my new normal,’ the 67-year-old media personality explained.

‘I’ve stopped being scared, I’ve always been a bit nervous before scans, but you know. My cancer count has come down and down and down, this drug is working.

‘But this new drug that people hail as a wonder drug, what people don’t know is that it’s one of the most vicious drugs to take.’

Chris Hughes, Daley Thompson, Ella Rae Wise, Danny Beard and Chesney Hawkes are all also competing to make their mark and rise victorious in the public eye.

Celebrity Big Brother continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
