As reported by La Repubblica, Borella collapsed while preparing to shoot the final scene of the season, and emergency crews rushed to the Hotel Danieli but they were unable to save him as he died aged 47.
The set was shut down on Friday, but photos emerged on Saturday showing Lily Collins among those getting back to work.
The shoot had been due to wrap in the next few days, as filming in Venice was scheduled to take place between August 15 and 25.
