Iconic Great British Bake Off mansion on sale for almost £7,000,000
Fancy owning a piece of British TV history?

Great British Bake Off fans could own a piece of British TV history for a cool £6.75million.
Harptree Court, a Georgian stately home in Somerset, was the location of the iconic Bake Off tent for the 2012 and 2013 series on the BBC, before the move to Channel 4.
Now, estate agents Knight Frank have put the house on the market for a staggering price.
The luxury property, which boasts 12 bedrooms and nine bathrooms, was designed by surveyor and architect Charles Harcout Masters and built for Joshua Scrope in 1797.
The Grade II-listed is sat on 51 acres of land with gardens and laws designed around the same period, housing a Victorian stable yard and even The Treehouse which is ‘currently let out for holiday stays’.

The listing reads: ‘Built in 2011, the self-contained treehouse is discreetly tucked away among mature trees north of the main house.

Sadly, the Bake Off tent is long gone, but there is a unique outdoor copper bath for those hot summer months.
The listing continues: ‘Harptree Court is set within magnificent mature gardens and grounds.
‘The lower drive winds through mature trees, past spring-fed lakes and an ornamental bridge, offering glimpses of the house. The upper drive, flanked by fields and lined with Lime and Sweet Chestnut trees, provides views over Chew Valley Lake.
‘Both drives arrive at the south lawn, featuring spectacular specimen trees, a rock garden, paved gardens, and a lily pond with a pavilion.’

The annual Stand Up To Cancer celeb series is currently on air, with Caroline Waldegrave joining Paul Hollywood as his co-judge.
She’s stepped in for her friend Dame Prue Leith for the five special episodes, which have featured the likes of Chris and Rosie Ramsey, Kate Garraway and Gloria Hunniford.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer finishes Sunday, April 13 at 7.30pm on Channel 4.
