It’s Always Sunny and Pee-Wee Herman star Lynne Marie Stewart dies aged 78
Fans are paying tribute to the late star.

Lynne Marie Stewart, best known for her work on It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Pee-Wee’s Playhouse, has died aged 78.
The news of the the actress’s death was announced on social media on Saturday by her friend and fellow actor Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira, Mistress Of The Dark.)
‘My heart is breaking upon hearing the news of my dear friend @lynnestewart78 Lynne Stewart’s passing.
‘One of the kindest, sweetest, funniest women who ever lived. The iconic Miss Yvonne of Pee-wee’s Playhouse: She’ll always be “the most beautiful woman in Puppetland”. ????’
Stewart starred as Miss Yvonne, the Most Beautiful Woman in Puppet Land in a variety of Pee-Wee Herman shows.
She originated the role in the 1981 stage show The Pee-wee Herman Show,and reprised the role in the CBS television show Pee-wee’s Playhouse, and the 2010 stage revival and Broadway production.

In addition to Pee-Wee Herman spin-off she also appeared in The Running Man, Night Stand with Dick Dietrick, and Son of the Beach.
She notably played Bonnie Kelly, the mother of Charlie Day’s character Charlie Kelly, on It’s Always Sunny In Philidelphia.
The character was recurring but beloved on the show that has become the longest-running sitcom of all time which began in 2005.
Younger audiences may also be familiar with the actress as she guest-starred on the Disney shows Austin & Ally and Good Luck Charlie in 2011.

‘Always beaming with positivity and love. What a legacy she leaves. We will miss her very much… Farewell Miss Yvonne. You’re the most beautiful woman in puppetland, inside and out!’ said Drew Powell who played Bear/Mr. Window in The Pee-Wee revival in 2011.
