Former Made in Chelsea stars Sophie Habboo and Jamie Laing are expecting a baby.

Announcing the news on Instagram, the pair shared a video of their scan and were flooded with well wishes from friends.

In the video, Sophie, 30, can be seen lying on a hospital bed and smiling at Jamie, who asked how she was feeling and said, ‘Oh my god.’

On seeing the scan, an emotional Jamie, 36, can be heard saying, ‘Are you kidding me?’ while the camera panned to Sophie, with her jaw on the floor, staring at the screen and listening to the heartbeat.

Katherine Ryan joked the baby ‘looks like Jamie’, while Molly-Mae Hague sent her congratulations alongside Vogue Williams, partner to Spencer Matthews, who said: ‘Ahhhhhh delighted for you guys.’

The happy news comes two years after the pair married in Chelsea Town Hall, and celebrated in style for a big bash in Marbella, Spain, with all their friends and family.

Leading up to the big day, the pair launched a successful podcast called NearlyWeds – which turned into NewlyWeds – paving the way for Jamie’s current position as a Radio 1 presenter.

Just days ago it was announced Sophie would be joining the Candy Kittens founder on his BBC Radio 1 show for three weeks, stepping in for Vick Hope while she’s on maternity leave.

Earlier this month, Sophie and Jamie announced their hit podcast was going on a little break, but the pair said they would be back.

The couple’s relationship began as friends, but in moments captured on E4’s Made In Chelsea, they realised there was something more in 2019.

While Jamie was one of the original cast members, appearing in the second year of the show – alongside the likes of Spencer Matthews, Millie Mackintosh, and Louise Thompson – Sophie joined the SW4 crew in the 14th season.

Although their relationship blossomed on TV, Sophie told Metro last year that she refused to watch MIC when she was in it.

Explaining that she didn’t particularly enjoy her edit, she said: ‘I’ve never watched it. I watched one episode that I was on. I was horrified at the way I sounded and the facial expressions. I was like, “never again”.’

While the pair appear to have the perfect relationship, they also candidly confessed to having had couple’s therapy less than a year into marriage.

‘We’ve done couples therapy, and I’m just such a big advocate for it. We did it because I thought it would really help us,’ Jamie said.

‘I have done sessions on my own for years, and it’s made me so much more self-aware. Opening up to someone and taking the stigma out of mental health has been incredible.

‘I kept it in for ages. I was having anxiety from probably doing a TV show for so long, and now I’m more self-assured.’

Sophie added: ‘I LOVE couples therapy. If I could do it every single day I would. Couples therapy is the best.’
