Justin Bieber is fighting back against ‘exhausting’ speculation about his private life, insisting he’s ‘in one of the best places’ he’s ever been.

The pop superstar, 30, has had fans worried in recent months after exhibiting erratic behaviour on social media and making concerning public appearances.

In recent weeks, sources have told major publications that even his wife Hailey is reportedly ‘deeply concerned’ about his welfare right now.

However, after Justin’s rep denied those rumours and contradicted speculation that the Baby hitmaker was unwell, another defiant statement has been issued.

This time it’s been insisted that Justin is definitely not using hard drugs, and that he’s focusing on being a dad to six-month-old son Jack Blues.

Speaking to TMZ, an official statement said, ‘The recurring narrative that Justin is using hard drugs is absolutely not true,’ adding that the Love Yourself singer is ‘in one of the best places in his life’.

The statement then directly criticised people who have speculated about Justin’s life behind closed doors, calling their words ‘pitiful,’ as well as ‘negative, salacious, and harmful’.

The Sorry hitmaker was spotted recently in New York City with red eyes while wearing baggy clothes, with some fans worrying why he’d been up all night.

But his reps were quick to state that Justin had been recording overnight and that he’d been looking after Jack Blues, who was ‘having trouble falling asleep’.

His rep continued: ‘The persistent narrative is exhausting and pitiful and shows that despite the obvious truth, people are committed to keeping negative, salacious, harmful narratives alive.

‘[The last 12 months have been] very transformative for him as he ended several close friendships and business relationships that no longer served him.’

After entering his 30s, Justin is said to have started prioritising marriage and fatherhood, as well as writing and recording music he can be proud and passionate about.

Five years ago, he spoke about his experiences of drug use, which dated back to when he was just 12 years old, and his desire to get sober in his early 20s.

In the documentary series Justin Bieber: Sessions, he admitted that becoming so famous at such a young age resulted in his depending on marijuana and alcohol.

During his teen years, his habits progressed and worsened, with Justin admitting that sometimes his security staff would have to ‘check his pulse’ in hotel rooms.

‘People don’t know how serious it got,’ he said in 2020. ‘It was legit crazy scary. I was waking up in the morning and the first thing I was doing was popping pills and smoking a blunt and starting my day.’

Thankfully, Justin worked hard to get himself sober after realising that drugs were just – in his words – ‘a numbing agent to just continue to get through’.

Justin is now happily married to Hailey Bieber, with the pair having tied the knot in 2018 when Justin was 23 and Hailey was 21. The couple share Jack Blues Bieber, who was born in 2024.
