Katie Price has opened up on a private health issue which has seen her waking up in a ‘soaking wet bed.’

The former glamour model, 46, spoke on the most recent episode of her podcast with sister Sophie Price about her experience with perimenopause symptoms following her IVF treatment.

Katie Price: Making Babies saw the reality TV star detail the treatment she underwent with former fiance Carl Woods in the hope of conceiving her sixth child.

Speaking on The Katie Price Podcast, the Mucky Mansion star admitted she experiences night sweats as well as ‘brain fog’ which affects her memory.

‘I’m getting the brain fog going through the pre-menostal [menopausal] or whatever it’s called, and I wake up and my bed is soaking wet. I hate it,’ she said.

‘I keep falling asleep. This CBD, I take two drops a night and honestly I’m having the best sleep but I’m not watching anything. It works for me.’

She is referring to cannabidiol, a substance found in the cannabis plant often used to treat pain.

Recently, Katie came under fire for promoting CBD and suggesting it can shrink tumours.

She continued: ‘So I’m just going to get my blood test because maybe I’m having an early menopause, I don’t know how it all works, but I’m still having my periods.’

Last month, the former I’m A Celebrity contestant shared her menopause fears after suffering a devastating miscarriage with partner JJ Slater.

The conversation began unconventionally, with Katie and Sophie discussing the reunion of 90s boy band Five.

Perimenopause is the period leading up to menopause, usually marked by changes in hormone levels, menstrual cycles, and your emotional and physical wellbeing.

According to the NHS, symptoms of perimenopause include:

Changes to your periods Changes to your mood such as low mood, anxiety, mood swings and low self-esteem Problems with memory or concentration (brain fog) Hot flushes, when you have sudden feelings of hot or cold in your face, neck and chest which can make you dizzy Difficulty sleeping, which may be a result of night sweats and make you feel tired and irritable during the day Palpitations, when your heartbeats suddenly become more noticeable Headaches and migraines that are worse than usual Muscle aches and joint pains Changed body shape and weight gain Skin changes including dry and itchy skin Reduced sex drive Vaginal dryness and pain, itching or discomfort during sex Recurrent urinary tract infections (UTIs) Sensitive teeth, painful gums or other mouth problems

‘When Five are coming back and the Boyzone thing – did you see that? So we’re all looking so much older and I think, “they’re the same age as me” but I still don’t feel I’m old,’ she began.

‘But I know I am because even my body inside is going through the menopause, so I’m not a young spring chicken, it doesn’t matter how young I think I look, what tracksuit I put on and whatever.’

She added: ‘My body is old! It’s scary isn’t it? Inside my body it is ageing but the outside is fresh.’

Katie is a mother to Harvey, Junior and Princess, who she shares with Peter Andre, and her youngest two, Jett and Bunny, from her marriage to Kieran Hayler.

She previously revealed that she and Married At First Sight star JJ Slater, who she began dating in January 2024, fell pregnant unexpectedly over Christmas, but scans from earlier this month showed she’d lost the baby.

Teaming up with baby loss charity Tommy’s, Katie shared the heartbreak to raise awareness for grieving mums.

‘It’s been hard. Did I cry or not? I don’t really know, but I was just really sad because we went from joy and relief that I could get pregnant naturally, to confusion, heartbreak and sadness,’ she said.

Katie explained that she’d been told last year she was perimenopausal and only had a 1% chance of falling pregnant naturally, so didn’t think it would happen.

‘We weren’t even trying. But then on Boxing Day I missed a period, and I’m usually so regular every 28 days, and the symptoms started: my boobs were sore, I felt bloated, a little bit moody and started feeling nauseous,’ she continued to The Sun.

‘I did loads of pregnancy tests because I wanted to be sure, and JJ kept asking me if it was real. He was so, so excited.’
