Lionesses star Ella Toone gets engaged to footie rival
The footballer and her partner were joined by his son in Ibiza.
Lionesses star Ella Toone has got engaged to her partner during a romantic getaway.
The two-time Euros winner was proposed to by her partner, Joe Bunney.
In the background, the pair can be seen in front of a beautiful Ibiza backdrop in Es Vedra.
The 25-year-old footballer has capped off a stunning year of football, following the nation’s second Euros title win in Switzerland.
Bunney, 31, can be seen in a series of images shared on Instagram bending down on one knee and proposing.
The caption to their post reads: ‘Forever… 04/08/25.’

Fellow England star Chloe Kelly also wrote: ‘Wow so perfect girl???????? wishing you both all the happiness in the world.’
Both are believed to have met through mutual friends.
They were also seen enjoying a romantic Ibiza break after Toone won her first Euros title in 2022.
Toone, a Manchester United player, has previously spoken about their sporting rivalry, as Bunney is a diehard Manchester City supporter.

Toone, alongside fellow Lionesses Alessia Russo and Chloe Kelly, led England to glory against Spain just last month in the Euro 2025 final.
Managed by Sarina Wiegman, after a 1-1 draw after extra time, a round of nail-biting penalties saw them lift the trophy in celebration.
Previously, a source close to the pair told The Sun: ‘Ella and Joe are very much in love and have been together for a while now.
‘They are both from Manchester and have mutual friends who introduced them.’

Other than what insiders have observed about their relationship, Ella and Joe keep their relationship very private, besides the odd adorable social media snap.
Toone has also previously told The Times how because of the career her partner had ‘his advice is definitely worth listening to’ and that ‘he makes me see things in a different way’.
They are both supportive of each other’s careers and attend games the other plays, often with fans approaching them.
‘Whenever I go to Joe’s games, the amount of lads who come over to me is mad, and that is what really makes me smile. I stand there a lot of the time with my hood up, trying to watch, but they’ll say, “Are you Ella Toone of United? Can I have a picture?”,’ she continued.
