Madonna has revealed that she is set to release a sequel to her iconic 2005 album, Confessions on a Dancefloor.

The album was a huge hit in 2005 and featured songs such as the lead single Hung Up and other hits Sorry, Get Together and Jump.

Confessions was the singer’s sixth-highest-ranking album and was praised by critics for its blend of 1970s disco, 1980s electropop, and 2000s club music.

Teasing the new release last year, Madonna teased that she would be releasing new music with Stuart Price, who collaborated on the Confessions album.

Now as a Valentine’s treat to her devoted fans, she has revealed that she is releasing a sequel to this hugely popular album.

‘My Valentine’s Day gift to all my fans is to let you know I’m putting my heart and soul into my new music and I can’t wait to share it with you!! Confessions Part 2,’ she captioned a video on social media.

The 2005 album Confessions is still one of the best-selling albums of the 21st century after selling nearly four million copies in the first week of its worldwide release.

The album spent 54 weeks in the top 100 albums and two weeks in the number one slot in the UK.

Hung Up, the lead single is one of the 13 Madonna songs to make it to number one in the UK and is still one of the singer’s most popular songs.

The song racked up 40 weeks in the Top 100 and is the artist’s longest-running single on the Official Charts.
