Mark Wright held back tears as he paid tribute to wife Michelle Keegan after the birth of their daughter.
The former TOWIE star, 38, and Brassic actress, 37, welcomed daughter Palma Elizabeth Wright on March 6, as they took to social media last week to share the happy news with fans.
Mark has now opened up on becoming a first-time dad, becoming emotional as he spoke on his Heart FM radio show alongside co-host Olly Murs.
‘Mate, it’s actually hard to put into words,’ Mark said.

Mark added: ‘It makes you realise what our mums did for us and makes me have so much more respect than I already had and what women had to go through.
‘It’s the best feeling in the world. I wake up every morning just so excited to see her face.’
Speaking about the first time he held his daughter, the former reality star said: ‘That moment when I held her in my arms, it gets me emotional now thinking about it.’

‘It’s a very special feeling. I can’t really put it into words. We’ve waited a little bit of time, we’ve chased our dreams and our careers and now we’re here. We’ve got a baby,’ he said.
Sharing the news that they had welcomed their first child, Michelle and Mark shared a black and white image, which has a portion of Palma’s face off-camera, shows the newborn dressed in a knitted white top and hat with her parents’ hands entangled with hers.

They were dressed in all white, and the image showed Michelle’s bump as Mark walked towards her with his back to the camera.
Mark recently reflected on his upcoming fatherhood with The Sun.
‘I’m just excited for the whole process. “I’m just really excited and can’t wait for it to happen.
‘A parent shapes you. If you haven’t got a good upbringing, you can still end up being a good person but if you’ve got good parents, like we have, you’re going out into life [with] a massive head start.
‘My dad is everything you’d dream [of] in a dad. He’s always put us first, no matter what, whether that was financially or in terms of love and care.
‘We’ve always felt so loved, and that’s one of the most important things for any parent – to make your child feel loved and to [let] them know [you’re] there.’
