Megan McKenna has revealed she had to rush her baby to hospital after he began ‘screaming and retching until his face turned red’.

The former Towie star, 32, and footballer fiancé Oliver Burke, 27, welcomed their son Landon in October last year.

Throughout her pregnancy Megan shared updates with fans, including when she was rushed to hospital herself after suffering a serious allergic reaction.

Now, this week, the first-time mum has shared the scary details of watching her five-month-old become unwell and need medical attention.

Posting a photo of Landon in a cot in hospital, she explained: ‘One thing I’m learning about being a mum, always trust your gut.

‘I was told to stop Landon’s Omeprazole by his paediatrician. This made me feel really uncomfortable and I begged to get him on it in the first place due to him having terrible reflux for six weeks.

‘He finally has got himself to a good place after being on a baby Omep for four months. I begged to get more but was told he needs to stop now. Because I was told to stop when I really didn’t want to, I’m now sitting on a baby ward after being in A&E all night because Landon has got gradually worse throwing up so much, it was scary.’

Megan then explained Landon had been ‘screaming in pain and retching till his face turned red and had now become dehydrated from all the vomiting’.

She went on to share the paediatrician at the hospital was ‘very confused at why he was told to stop taking it and should be on it for at least six months’.

‘After last night he is being put straight back on it and has just had his first dose. He was kept in overnight to be monitored and to have fluids put back into his body,’ she added.

Sharing that her son was now ‘back to his happy self again’, Megan also thanked the doctors and nurses who helped care for him.

She later shared a photo of his hand with a cannula attached and said he was ‘so stressed and confused’ having it put in.

‘I’m so upset his reflux has got this bad. Moving forward I won’t be taking no for an answer. You as a mum knows best. He’s having a few days for his tummy to settle with the Omep and then they told me to wean him slowly again alongside the omperazole.

‘Honestly reflux is awful for our tiny babies.

‘I just want to make sure he doesn’t have to go through that again.’

Megan announced her engagement to former Birmingham City and Scotland footballer Oliver in June 2023.

When announcing the birth of their son, the couple revealed his name and that he weighed 9.2 pounds and shared videos including moments after he was delivered and cradling and feeding him.
