Netflix viewers are obsessed with a ‘hidden gem’ series that boasts a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.

The Law According to Lidia Poet first aired in February 2023, with the second season having aired late last year.

With its 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes for the first instalment, and a seriously impressive 91% audience score for the second, it’s no surprise TV fanatics are raving about it.

The six-parter is based on a true story, and chronicles Italy’s first qualified female lawyer, who is banned from practising because of her sex.

Set in the 19th century and battling misogyny, she investigates homicides.

Elsewhere on the internet, Reddit users have eaten it up.

Mergraote recommended it to a fellow poster, saying: ‘The Law According to Lidia Poet is excellent’, while Kanjilal_s said they ‘loved the show’.

The second series of The Law According to Lidia Poet was released in October, and continued to score high praise.

Critic Lacy Baugher said: ‘Season 2 doubles down on what made the first so much fun, giving luminous star Matilda De Angelis more complicated material and even better fashion.’

‘The Law According to Lidia Poët Season 2 defies the sophomore slump. With Lidia’s return, an era of further conflict and maturity arrives,’ Sarah Musnicky said.
