Robert Pattinson has revealed that he’s surprised to have male fans after years of having a female-dominated fanbase.

The actor, 38, attended a premiere in London last night for his upcoming film Mickey17.

The film is directed by Bong Joon Ho, who was behind Parasite and Snowpiercer and it’s set to be a huge hit for movie fans.

Robert stars in the film as Mickey Barnes, a man who agrees to work as an ‘expendable’ for a new human colony in space meaning he does all the most dangerous work, and is cloned and brought back to life every time he dies.

While on the red carpet, the Twilight actor was asked by PA news agency’s Sian Watson how he felt to have so many fans attending the premiere just to catch a glimpse of him.

‘It’s quite strange,’ he replied. ‘There’s like a bunch of guys, which is a new one for me!’

Fans commenting on the video suggested that it was his recent role as Batman that earned him a variety of male fans.

‘Us guys love him as Batman,’ said Rampagelephant.

‘BECAUSE YOU’RE THE BEST BATMAN OF COURSE ALL THE GUYS LOVE YOU,’ said beeerooney.

‘LMAO it’s because he’s Batman. All the girls loved him as a Vampire. Now all the guys love him because he’s Batman,’ said benmalovany.

The actor’s first major breakout role was Twilight which earned him a huge female fanbase and a name as a teenage heartthrob as fans loved him as the sparkly vampire, Edward Cullen.

After his initial success in 2008, he went on to star in a number of romantic films including Remember Me and Water For Elephants.

In his later career, he has varied the roles he has accepted, receiving huge praise for his performances in Good Time, The Lighthouse, and The Batman in 2022.
