Sam Thompson and Louis Tomlinson are set to come face to face on live TV after it emerged that the One Direction singer is rumoured to be dating the Made in Chelsea star’s recent ex, Zara McDermott.

I’m A Celebrity winner Sam, 32, and Love Island star Zara, 28, were together for five years before announcing their split in December.

Just yesterday pictures were published of Louis, 33, and Zara holding hands and laughing as they ate and drank, seemingly smitten with each other on a day out in Suffolk.

A source told Metro Sam is ‘hurting’ after seeing the photos.

‘Sam is hurting after seeing the photos of Zara and Louis on a date,’ they said.

‘He’s been dealing with the heartbreak of his split from Zara – it’s only been a few months and they were together for five years as well as living together.

‘Seeing her move on so quickly isn’t easy, but he’s focusing on himself and has a lot going on in his career going forward.’

Now Sam and Louis are set to come face-to-face at the Soccer Aid for Unicef match in June, as the lineup announcements are coming in.

The Sun reported that Zara and Louis have been dating for some time.

A source told the publication: ‘Louis whisked Zara away for a break in Suffolk and he absolutely charmed her, it’s clear he thinks she’s drop-dead gorgeous too.

‘Louis is a proper gentleman so this trip was something he planned and put on for Zara. He was really thoughtful and wanted to make it special.’

Neither Zara or Louis have confirmed the relationship.

On June 15 at the Old Trafford in Manchester, England will take on Soccer Aid World XI for the charity match.

Tyson Fury will be managing the England team, alongside the retired Wayne Rooney, who will also be playing in the game.

Other England co-managers include former Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp and Line Of Duty star Vicky McClure.

2024 Player of the Match Steven Bartlett will be returning to help out the team, while Lionesses Toni Duggan and Steph Houghton are making their Soccer Aid debut.

David James is goalkeeper coach, while pundit and former pro goalkeeper Joe Hart will be taking up his old position in the net for his first Soccer Aid outing.

Presenter Paddy McGuinness will be returning to the pitch, with Gary Neville also coming back to his beloved Manchester United alongside Paul Scholes.

Jermain Defoe will also be giving England a helping hand – or foot – alongside singer Tom Grennan and Made In Chelsea star Sam.

Former hockey Olympian Sam Quek and Sir Mo Farah are changing up their preferred sport for Unicef, while YouTuber Angry Ginge is making his debut with Alex Brooker named on the team again.

More famous faces are set to be revealed in the coming weeks but those announced for opposing team Soccer Aid World XI FC are Italian footballer Leonardo Bonucci, Canadian footballer Kaylyn Kyle, AC Milan striker Nadia Nadim and Gladiators star Diamond (Livi Sheldon).

Comedian Lee Mack and Strictly Come Dancing star Gorka Marquez will also be competing against England.

More players will be announced over the coming weeks.

Hosted by Dermot O’Leary and Alex Scott, the event will take place on Father’s Day, with adult tickets available from £20 and juniors from £10.
