The Masked Singer 2025 final has just revealed Pufferfish to be West End superstar Samantha Barks.

Samantha, 34, rose to fame in the BBC talent show-themed television series I’d Do Anything in 2008. She went on to become a hugely celebrated musical theatre icon and currently stars in the West End’s Frozen production.

Her West End debut was as Éponine in Les Misérables in 2010 and Samantha went on to star as Nancy in Oliver! and in key roles in other major musicals.

This evening marks another year over of the nation guessing which celebrities are the melodic voices behind an array of fabulous – and often ridiculous – costumes in the hit ITV show.

Tonight Dressed Crab, Pufferfish, and Wolf went oversized-head-to-oversized-head in the final, with Wolf the first to be eliminated and unmasked after an audience vote.

The hound turned out to be legendary Love Is All Around hitmaker Marti Pellow, 59, leaving the judging panel – McFly’s Danny Jones, Davina McCall, Maya Jama and Jonathan Ross – in awe.

After Marti took his mask off, he sang his famous track Love is All Around.

Runner-up Dressed Crab was – as predicted – unmasked to be legendary singer Gregory Porter, who said he battled with a touch of ‘claustrophobia’ under the mask while filming the show. He was wearing the same hat as always under the aquatic mask (which he wears cover up scars).

But the grand finale saw Pufferfish crowned as the 2025 winner, as they were revealed to be the 34-year-old I’d Do Anything star.

TV presenter and comedian Joel Dommett opened the grand finale of The Masked Singer with a rendition of Blondie’s One Way Or Another.

Wolf sang his heart out to Lady Gaga’s 2008 hit Poker Face, with some latex-clad backing dancers and heavy hints to Scotland. Davina guessed Midge Ure was the man behind the mask, while Maya stuck to her guns with rock legend Billy Idol.

For their first performance Pufferfish perfected Britney Spears’ iconic track Baby One More Time, leaving judges with ‘goosebumps’ and utterly convinced they are a technical singer, with Nicole Scherzinger and Perrie Edwards’ names in the mix. A performance of One Night Only followed, leaving everyone gobsmacked, with Ted Lasso’s Hannah Waddingham’s name entering the room.

Dressed Crab unveiled his silky tones for a glorious version of Bill Withers’ Ain’t No Sunshine to kick things off, and judges riddled the man behind the mask could be Gregory Porter after a fair few heavy clues. For his second performance he rocked Lenny Kravitz’s Are You Gonna Go My Way in a real change of tempo.

This year’s winner joins previous victors including McFly’s Danny Jones, Neighbours star Natalie Imbruglia and Busted singer Charlie Simpson.

Over their time on the show Dressed Crab has performed songs like California Dreamin’ by The Mamas & the Papas, with hints dropped that they could have been a style icon from the US – nodding to Gregory’s inclusion in the Top 10 Men of The Year GQ awards in 2017.

Over the past few weeks fans guessed they were either singer-songwriter Michael Kiwanuka, Hollywood star Jamie Foxx, fashion trailblazer Billy Porter, or the Grammy winner Gregory. In the last moments, all the judges guessed correctly.

Meanwhile, Pufferfish has stunned crowds with their Chappell Roan covers and Cyndi Lauper’s hit Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.

The judges and fans previously guessed Pufferfish’s identity is Hayden Panetierre, Stacey Solomon, Kate Moss and even Glee star Lea Michele after a nod to Journey song Don’t Stop Believin’. When it came down to it tonight though, the judges did indeed identify Samantha before the unmasking.

Wolf on the other hand – in quite polar opposite to Pufferfish – has belted out rock songs like Billy Idol’s Rebel Yell and Barry Manilow’s Copacabana, leaving fans stumped.

Fans correctly thought Wolf could be a number of celebrities including Scottish singer Marti Pellow, Phil Spencer, David Tennant, Richard E. Grant and Jim Kerr – to name a few.

The semi-final last week had a double reveal with rapper Example as the artist behind the Bear and Natalie Cassidy (aka Sonia from EastEnders) turning out to be Bush.

The Masked Singer finale is available to stream on ITVX.
