The real-life romance between The Simpsons stars will warm your heart
They have been married for almost 25 years.

There’s nothing like a good love story to restore your faith in humanity – and this real life Simpsons romance may be the sweetest yet.
The Simpsons has been on screens for 36 years (and has many seasons) with Dan Castellaneta and Julie Kavner playing TV’s most chaotic duo – Homer and Marge Simpson.
But given how big the animated series is, the show has also been dubbed into 15 different languages, including French.
Meet the French voice actors – Phillipe Peythieu and Veronique Augereau – who have been capturing Homer and Marge’s spirit and essence for French viewers everywhere since the show first started in 1989.
Over three decades, 400 episodes, and a movie later – TV magic is not the only thing they have managed to whip up.
That’s right, the duo are also together in real life after meeting in the studio to kick off a lifelong adventure together.

Matt also said, in good humour, that the fact they were married was ‘very odd’.
During another interview, he praised their acting skills, saying: ‘Their voices are great, they caught the spirit of the series.’
Phillipe and Veronique officially married in 2001.
In an interview with in 2007, they opened up a bit more about how their real-life relationship has helped their working one.

They do not often speak about their relationship off-screen but in a chat with Konbini in 2022, Phillipe said: ‘So the fact that we also became husband and wife, having met on the cast of The Simpsons in 1989 – I’m not giving anything away – [but] I’d say that the intimacy of the studios brought us closer.’
In the same interview both of them also agreed that their absolute favourite scenes to film are the ones when Homer and Marge are in bed together – normally having cosy chats.
And, according to IMDb, they have two children.

The pair have previously shed light into how the dubbing process works, sharing that they are normally brought in for 10-12 days over the course of six months for intensive days of recording to get every episode perfect.
As for UK viewers – there’s been plenty of exciting Simpsons news in recent days. Disney+ has dropped the first five episodes of season 36 with, plans to regularly drop new episodes in coming weeks.
Not only that, but Disney+ has also announced that it will be rolling out a 24/7 livestream so anyone overwhelmed by the vast collection can simply tune in and be treated to whatever episode is playing at the time – like linear TV.
The Simpsons is available to stream on Disney+.
