The White Lotus’ Lisa sparks outrage over ‘disrespectful’ detail on Met Gala outfit
Fans are not happy.

Blackpink icon Lisa Manobal has been met with a huge backlash after rocking up to the Met Gala in an eye-catching outfit.
Some of the biggest stars headed to the most exclusive red carpet of the year, with Halle Berry, Angela Bassett, Joey King, and Diana Ross among the most fashionable faces, while Lewis Hamilton, Pharrell Williams, and Colman Domingo served as co-chairs.
Weeks after the season three finale of the White Lotus aired, the cast showed out with looks inspired by the theme of Superfine: Tailoring Black Style – Walton Goggins, Aimee Lou Wood and Patrick Schwarzenegger won praise for their efforts.
However, Lisa, who played Mook in the series, has been called out for the intricate details in her look, with many questioning whether she was wearing underwear adorned with the face of civil rights activist Rosa Parks.
The 28-year-old opted for an embellished Louis Vuitton tailored jacket, complete with a bodysuit and tights monogrammed with the brand’s logo.
According to Vogue Magazine, American artist Henry Taylor designed the bodice, which is most visible on the crotch area.

Despite the confusion, fans have flocked to social media to share their thoughts on the superstar’s choices, branding the outfit ‘disrespectful’.
Reddit user Chadwickave wrote: ‘The idea of the patterned bodysuit is unique, but they should’ve used a different fabric for the crotch area. Awkward at best, disrespectful at worst.’
‘How disconnected do you have to be to do something like this? Gross,’ a fan fumed.

‘So inappropriate, and adding insult to injury, the “outfit” and styling are terrible – what’s the opposite of a slam dunk?,’ BeffeeJeems posted.
Concretelove said: ‘I think we all knew this theme was going to lead to at least one celebrity having a major faux pas.. I just didn’t think it was going to be THIS obviously bad.’
Terrible-Business-54 questioned: ‘Why would they do her so dirty like that omg. Where are her pants and why oh why are there faces down there???’
As Unlikely_Childhood_9 added: ‘Rosa Parks on your exposed underwear is so insane what is wrong with you girl???’

The brand did not shed further light on whether one of those portraits is of Rosa.
Lisa has also not spoken publicly against the reaction.
