Previous Page Next PageTV star and model Danielle Lloyd has revealed she’s been diagnosed with skin cancer at the age of 41.
The former beauty pageant star took to social media and revealed the devastating news in an emotional video.
‘I don’t really know how to say this and I didn’t know whether to come on and say it but I feel like I have to raise awareness of this happening to other people,’ she began.
‘Today I have been diagnosed with a form of skin cancer. And I just want to raise awareness for anyone who might think they’ve got something funny on their body, they see a mole that’s growing that’s not normal – please please please go to your doctor. You just never know.
Danielle Lloyd told her fans about the diagnosis in a candid social media video (Picture: Danielle Lloyd/Instagram)‘I’m really shocked at what I’ve been told today but I’ve been really supported by the Macmillan nurses at the hospital. I am going to have to have an operation to see if it has spread.
‘But yeah, just honestly, not what I expected today. And I suppose not what anyone expects, but please guys look after your skin. Stay off sunbeds, wear factor 50. Just look after yourself because you never know.’
Danielle – who was crowned Miss England 2004 and Miss Great Britain 2006 – has endured a rocky few years of health.
Last year, she sparked concern when sharing a picture of her in a hospital gown.
She revealed she had undergone surgery and reassured followers that she was ‘alive and well’.

However doctors informed the star that they had discovered cysts on both ovaries, one of which was the size of a tennis ball, as well as thickening in the lining of her womb.
Danielle then endured a terrifying wait for the results of a biopsy to determine if she had endometrial cancer: a disease where malignant cells form in the tissues of the lining of the uterus.
After six weeks, she was given the all-clear but was told she had adenomyosis, a condition which causes endometrial tissue in the lining of the uterus to grow into the muscular wall.

Danielle has three sons – Archie, 14, Harry, 13, and George, 10 – with her ex-husband Jamie O’Hara, as well as son Ronnie and daughter Autumn (via the controversial sex selection procedure) with husband Michael O’Neill.
Months after Danielle was crowned Miss Great Britain in 2006, she was stripped of her title after posing nude for Playboy.
In 2007, Danielle entered the Celebrity Big Brother house alongside Jade Goody, S Club 7’s Jo O’Meara and Bollywood superstar Shilpa Shetty.
Along with Goody and O’Meara, her behaviour towards Shetty garnered her very negative publicity.
That same year she released a workout DVD called Keep Fit, Look Fit, and she appeared on a number of game shows, including a glamour models edition of The Weakest Link, which she won.
