Yella Beezy has been arrested and charged with hiring a hitman to kill fellow rapper MO3.

The Dallas based rapper, real name Markies Deandre Conway is best known for his 2017 single That’s On Me, which charted in the Billboard Hot 100.

However, the 33-year-old is now behind bars after being arrested on Thursday.

He was taken into custody after a grand jury indictment and charged with capital murder in connection with the 2020 death of Melvin Noble, the rapper who performed as MO3.

Conway allegedly hired a man named Kewon White to kill Noble, who died in November 2020 after a shootout on Interstate 35 in Dallas, Texas.

The 28-year-old had been driving on the freeway when White allegedly drove up next to him and got out of his vehicle with a gun in his hand.

Jumping out of his car, Noble began running south as White shot at him. A bystander in another car was also shot, but survived, while Noble died in hospital.

The indictment alleges Conway ‘intentionally and knowingly’ caused Noble’s death by employing White ‘for remuneration and the promise of remuneration, namely: United States currency’, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.

White is currently serving a nine-year sentence after pleading guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in 2022.

In October 2018, Conway survived being shot while driving on a toll way in the Dallas suburb of Lewisville when someone pulled up next to him and opened fire, hitting him three times.

MO3 rose to fame in 2019 with his song Errybody. His posthumous Outside hit No. 92 on the Hot 100 in 2021.
