Anna Kendrick is all about providing the laughs.

The famed actress and her co-star Blake Lively are currently promoting Another Simple Favor, the long-awaited sequel to their 2018 thriller/comedy A Simple Favor, but everyone is focused on one thing.

As Blake, 37, continues her legal battle against ex-co-star Justin Baldoni and rumours continue to spread that she and Anna, 39, don’t get along, fans want to know how the latter feels about it all, and her response is exactly what they expected.

While speaking to fans at the premiere of their new film, Anna was asked how she feels about working with her fellow A-lister and her reply left things open to interpretation.

Smiling as she walked past a crowd of people, an Entertainment Tonight reporter asked: ‘Anna, what does it mean to be working with Blake again?’ with the Pitch Perfect actress nonchalantly replying: ‘Oh, you know…’

A snippet of the interaction was shared on social media with many declaring it a classic Anna response.

‘Actually chuckling out loud,’ @lexy_1111 added.

@HoneyGoldxx said: ‘Classic Anna Kendrick – making interviews awkward but still being the coolest person in the room.’

‘Anna is not about drama she’s so unproblematic lmao. She’s not going to answer that,’ @andreatatted added on Instagram.

The actress was then asked on the carpet by Variety how the release of her new film is being affected by everything going on in the world, hinting at the Lively lawsuit.

Known for her comedic approach to interviews and life in general, the actress played it cool and replied: ‘Why, what happened?’

She then further explained, adding: ‘I did ayahuasca and the last year of my life is just gone but I’ve heard the movie’s amazing’, before blowing a kiss and walking off.

It once again earned praise from fans who rushed to the comment section to share their thoughts on the ‘elegant’ response.

‘I’m going to steal this very elegant and honest way out of uncomfortable questions,’ @salazarzar wrote.

@katsbigopinion added: ‘I just applaud her for how she’s handled this entire press tour.’

‘Love her sense of humour!! Go ANNA’, @eyebay wrote.

Anna’s comments come after the film’s director, Paul Feig, gave a scathing reply to speculation that Blake’s ongoing lawsuit has impacted the sequel.

Replying to a fan’s tweet in January, which claimed the sequel had been shelved ‘indefinitely’, Paul replied: ‘This is total BS. Sorry. The movie is finished and coming out soon.’

The Freaks and Geeks creator added: ‘Don’t believe anything you read on social media these days.’

Blake’s highly publicised legal battle with her It Ends With Us co-star, Justin, 41, began in December last year.

The film, which was adapted from the best-selling Colleen Hoover novel of the same name, was plagued with rumours of the two actors butting heads. However, it took a more serious turn in December when Blake filed a lawsuit against Justin, claiming he sexually harassed her during filming.

The lawsuit also alleged that Justin and his team orchestrated a smear campaign against her.

Justin denied all the claims made against him and hit back with a counter-lawsuit, in which he is seeking $400 million in compensation following alleged defamation and extortion at the hands of Blake, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, Leslie Sloane.

In addition to the multi-million dollar suit, Justin filed a second $250 million libel suit against the New York Times, claiming they ‘cherry-picked and altered communications’ in favour of Blake without providing ‘necessary context’.

The publication is preparing to fight the lawsuit and defend its reporting.

Another Simple Favor is avalible to stream on Amazon Prime Video from May 1.
