Bruno Tonioli promises to ‘nip in bud’ any inappropriate behaviour he sees
The Britain's Got Talent host has had his say.

Britain’s Got Talent judge Bruno Tonioli believes there are ‘lines you don’t cross’ in the TV industry.
While Bruno thinks there is nothing wrong with being a little bit ‘spicy’, he has made it clear that if one of his colleagues had gone too far, he wouldn’t think twice about intervening.
Speaking in the wake of allegations made against the likes of Gino D’Acampo and Gregg Wallace, Bruno told the Sunday Mirror: ‘There is a code of conduct and offstage, if I feel I have seen anything that is inappropriate, I would nip it in the bud. But I haven’t seen anything on a show when I was there, so that’s all I can say.
‘Whatever I’ve done or said has always come from good intentions. It’s never intended to shock and I’ve never had any problems in the past.
‘Obviously, there are lines you don’t cross but at the same time, sometimes if you’re spicy in the right way, there’s nothing wrong with it. It’s comedy, it’s entertainment. But you can’t think, “Oh I can’t do this, I can’t do that”, because you end up trying to please everybody and you please nobody.’
The 69-year-old star, who is going into his third series on Britain’s Got Talent, thinks it is important to be authentic on screen but also entertaining.
Balance is important, says Bruno (Picture: Stuart C. Wilson/Getty Images)He said: ‘You can’t do anything with pre-conceived [notions], you have to be real. You have to be entertaining too – you don’t want to bore people.’
The former Strictly Come Dancing judge believes he has always treated everyone he works with respect.
He said: ‘I treat everybody exactly the same – the camera crews have known me for years.’
D’Acampo is facing accusations of inappropriate sexual behaviour (Picture: Ken McKay/ITV/REX/Shutterstock)D’Acampo, 48, is facing various accusations of inappropriate sexual behaviour that have emerged over the past few months. Dozens of people have come forward to speak about their experience working with him over a period of 12 years on various shows. The Italian chef has been accused of ‘thrusting his crotch’ at a female staffer and making comments about his ‘sex deprived’ penis. D’Acampo has ‘firmly denied’ the allegations, and said they are ‘deeply upsetting’.
Following the news pre-filmed episodes of Family Fortunes will no longer be aired, and it has been claimed all of his shows from upcoming ITV schedules have now been pulled.
Wallace stepped back from MasterChef (Picture: David M. Benett/Dave Benett/Getty Images)Wallace, 60, stepped back from MasterChef late last year following several complaints and accusations made against him – which he has denied.
It had been alleged Wallace made ‘inappropriate sexual jokes’ and lewd comments on set, asked for the female members of production staff’s phone numbers, undressed in front of staff and stood ‘too close’ to women working on his shows.
Britain’s Got Talent returns to ITV at 7pm on February 22.
