Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones’ close friendship ‘blossoms into deeper connection’

TV stars Helen Skelton and Gethin Jones have been spending more and more time together as their relationship ‘deepens’, according to reports.
The hosting duo, 41 and 47 respectively, have presented the BBC’s mid-morning show Morning Live together for some time, following its launch in 2020.
Gethin was engaged to singer Katherine Jenkins but the pair called things off in 2011, while Helen’s marriage to rugby star Richie Myler ended in April 2022.
In February, Gethin hilariously revealed that he’d been booted off the Hinge dating app for ‘catfishing’ when it had really been him behind the account all along.
But, if reports are to be believed, Gethin won’t have to do battle with Hinge’s IT department anymore after forming a ‘deeper connection’ with Helen in recent months.
Speaking to MailOnline, a source said: ‘Helen and Gethin have an extremely close working relationship and there’s a feeling in recent months their friendship has blossomed into a deeper connection.

Helen joined the Morning Live team in 2023, almost 10 years to the day after she left her presenting stint at the BBC’s long-running children’s show Blue Peter.
Gethin meanwhile has been with Morning Live since the start, with a trial run towards the end of 2020 proving successful – the show is broadcast out of the BBC’s Versa Studios in Manchester.

Strictly star Helen and Richie got married in 2013 and share three children together – the couple split just four months after the birth of their youngest child, a daughter.
Announcing their break-up, Helen said in 2022: ‘Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple. He has left the family home. We will be doing our best to co-parent our small children.’
Gethin spoke of his bad Hinge experience earlier this year, telling the Restless Natives podcast: ‘It was that moment when you have to write to Hinge, on a Thursday night, all alone, “Dear Hinge, it’s Gethin here…’

After his engagement to Katherine Jenkins broke down, he is known to have dated Towie star Lucy Mecklenburgh and German model Katja Zwara.
The most recent rumours involving Gethin’s love life linked him with First Dates star Cici Coleman in 2023 after the pair were spotted out in London.
According to reports, the pair enjoyed drinks at the Apollo Theatre before heading to The Groucho Club to continue their evening.
A source told The Sun at the time: ‘They’ve grown close and have been spending time together.’
