Tracy Morgan has revealed he was hit with food poisoning when throwing up while sitting courtside.

The comedian and 30 Rock actor, 56, was attending the New York Knicks vs. Miami Heat game Monday night when he became unwell.

During the game at Madison Square Garden, he vomited, with the game briefly being paused after an announcement shared he’d ‘lost the contents of his stomach courtside.’

Soon after Tracy was removed from his seat in a wheelchair while covering his face in a towel.

A day on he’s shared an update, posting a photo from a hospital bed.

‘Thank you for all your concern! I’m doing ok now and doctors say it was food poisoning. Appreciate my MSG family for taking such good care of me and I need to shout out the crew that had to clean that up. Appreciate you!’

He also added: ‘More importantly, the Knicks are now 1-0 when I throw up on the court so maybe I’ll have to break it out again in the playoffs ???? #goknicks.’

Before Tracy revealed he was recovering, he was flooded with messages of concern and support.

Comedian Ben Stiller said: ‘Sending good thoughts to Tracy Morgan.’

‘We hope everything’s good with Tracy Morgan,’ Knicks guard Josh Hart said after the game. ‘Avid, lifetime Knick fan so prayers go out to him and his health and safety.’

A spokesperson for Madison Square Garden said in a statement: ‘We hope Tracy feels better soon and look forward to seeing him back courtside.’

Tracy has suffered with his health over the years, as he was diagnosed with diabetes and underwent a kidney transplant in 2010.

Four years later he spent two weeks in a coma following a car crash while travelling through the New Jersey turnpike in a limo bus.

An SUV, two cars and two tractor-trailers were also involved in the crash, which killed one person travelling with Tracy.

Tracy had to learn to walk, sit and stand all over again after suffering a brain injury and broken leg in the smash.

In 2022, Tracy opened up about his struggles with alcoholism as he rose to fame before going sober.

‘The parties were too late and I started drinking,’ he said. ‘When you’re famous and funny every time you go into the club there is always somebody going, “Can I get you a drink? Can I get you a drink?”

‘Because they think when you’re drunk you’re going to make them laugh, but being drunk has nothing to do with your sense of humor. You’re not even focused when you’re inebriated.

‘So, I’m an alcoholic. I started drinking and I got two DUIs in one year. I thank the Lord I didn’t lose my legs and I didn’t kill nobody and I ain’t go to jail.’
