‘Intense’ sex-trafficking Netflix thriller dominates streaming charts after just one week
It was released just a few days ago.

Netflix viewers have rushed to binge a thriller series that is centred on a teenager being kidnapped by a sex-trafficking ring.
The Brazilian limited series Rivers of Fate consists of four action-packed episodes that have left viewers ‘on the edge of their seats’.
Details of the series before diving in are minimal, but the synopsis does tease: ‘When a teen is kidnapped by a sex trafficking ring, a river pirate and a fierce mother embark on separate quests to find her — until their paths cross.’
After being released on Netflix on August 20, the series has quickly raced up the charts in the UK, where it’s currently sitting as the ninth most-watched TV show, and it’s the second most-watched non-English language show globally.
Created by Bráulio Mantovani, Fernando Garrido and Stephanie Degreas, it stars Domithila Cattete, Marleyda Soto and Lucas Galvino.
