Jack Whitehall has confirmed he’ll be up to his old tricks at the Brit Awards tonight.

The British comedian, 35, is returning to host the Brits for a fifth time, after Clara Amfo, Roman Kemp, and Maya Jama took over in 2024.

Jack caused some of the most iconic Brits moments by poking fun at the guests at their table, from getting tipsy with Lizzo to bringing up Jesy Nelson’s Jamaican accent – to her face.

He told The Sun: ‘I know Sam Fender and Jade will be up for it.

‘They’re always up for a laugh and don’t take themselves too seriously.

‘Charli XCX is great too, and she’s the big story of the year. I’ll throw in some Brat jokes.’

It’s a long night ahead for Jack but after four successful stints, he knows how to keep his energy up.

Jack added: ‘It’s so long, it’s good to have a shot of tequila halfway through. Tequila is the best shot for the following morning.

‘Although now I have a child, I need to weigh up if it’s worth having a hangover with a toddler the next morning.’

Jade, Teddy Swims, Lola Young and Sabrina Carpenter are just some of the performers taking to the stage tonight, while Charli XCX leads the race for prizes with five nominations.

There will also be a special tribute to Liam Payne, who won seven Brit Awards with One Direction.

Payne died aged 30 in October 2024 after falling off a hotel balcony in Argentina.

A montage featuring some of Payne’s many career highlights, from auditioning for The X Factor to performing in stadiums around the world, will be introduced by Jack.

The Brit Awards airs tonight at 8.15pm on ITV.
