JoJo Siwa confirms she’s ‘head over heels’ for Chris Hughes after shirtless bed selfie
She said they were 'not platonic'.
JoJo Siwa has said her relationship with Chris Hughes is ‘not platonic’ after months of speculation the pair are dating.
In April, American TV and social media star JoJo, 21, entered the Celebrity Big Brother House where she quickly bonded with Chris, 32, best known for his stint on Love Island in 2017.
The pair became the subject of much speculation they were more than friends, with their actions raising eyebrows after they were filmed cuddling and giving each other back rubs.
On the show JoJo also spoke about no longer identifying as a lesbian and instead ‘felt more queer’.
At the show’s after party JoJo also dumped her partner Kath Ebbs, 27. Since then JoJo and Chris have been spending time together in the UK and US, sharing intimate photos – including one of them in bed together.
Although they’ve skirted around questions about their relationship status for weeks, JoJo has now finally confirmed they are more than friends.

Chris shared this intimate photo of them on social media over the weekend (Picture: Chris Hughes/ Snapchat)‘People can see our chemistry, and they got to see it develop. I think everyone’s just curious, and I can’t blame them,’ she said in a new interview with The Guardian.
After being asked if her relationship with Chris was ‘platonic or romantic’, JoJo was ‘silent for a long time staring down at the floor but was smiling ear to ear’.
‘It’s not platonic anymore, and it’s been a beautiful development, a beautiful connection, and I’m absolutely head over heels for him and he’s the same way,’ she shared.
Addressing accusations they are engaging in a PR stunt, JoJo pushed back.

In the interview JoJo again spoke about identifying as queer, which she said best ‘encompasses how I am, and who I am’, adding: ‘You can’t help who you love.’
During an appearance on Sunday Brunch yesterday, JoJo spoke about her family’s opinion on her new partner.
‘She (her mother Jessalynn) does love him. My parents think the absolute world of him, and him and my dad are like best friends,’ she said.

‘Mum, she absolutely adores him. I love watching her watch us because I’ve never seen my mum so happy.’
‘It feels like we’re a family,’ she added. ‘It feels like he’s been in my family for however many years. It feels like they just all get along as well as I do.’
When asked if she had plans to relocate to the UK, she also explained: ‘I think there will definitely be a lot more time spent here, and I think from him as well, a lot more time spent over there, but we both have families, you know, on either end.’
