We’re months away from Oasis finally heading on their reunion tour, but Liam Gallagher has dashed reports that he and his brother met up recently.

‘Fake news,’ slammed Liam, 52, on X after reports he and Noel, 57, had been for a secret meeting at a private room in London’s Nobu Hotel on Tuesday.

It felt impossible for many years that Oasis would reform after the dramatic split in 2009, but Noel and Liam shocked us all last year by revealing a mammoth world tour and hints about new music, too.

According to The Sun, Liam’s two sons — Lennon, 25, and Gene, 23 — joined their dad and uncle as well as Oasis guitarist Paul Arthurs, aka Bonehead.

Fans were surprised, considering the brothers have not been seen together and early reports that they would be kept separate for the duration of the tour.

Metro understands that the mini-reunion did not happen and instead, Liam and his sons were out with his partner, Debbie Gwyther.

‘Their relationship is far warmer now, and they’re excited to get out on the road,’ the source claimed about Noel and Liam.

They added: ‘Gene and Lennon were both big champions of Oasis getting back together and have been seen as the peacemaker.’

This was again surprising as Noel’s daughter Anais Gallagher, 25, ‘didn’t have a clue’ about the reunion, according to a close friend.

She was staying with Blossoms frontman, Tom Ogden, and his wife Katie at the time it was announced and found out with the rest of the world.

In response to a fan who asked if he had met Noel in London, the Supersonic hitmaker gave a sarcastic response and wrote: ‘I did it was lovely we had a lovely chat and a cuddle.’

When another fan asked why we hadn’t seen the brothers together yet, Liam replied: ‘Coz it didn’t happen FAKE NEWS.’

Very little is known about the reunion plans so far, other than the fact that Bonehead will be joining the brothers on tour.

It once seemed like Oasis’ reunion was a complete fantasy (Picture: SIMON EMMET/FEAR PR/HANDOUT/EPA-)

Bonehead was an integral part of Oasis during their early years, contributing to their hit debut album Definitely Maybe and the follow-up (What’s the Story) Morning Glory?

Fans are incredibly happy he is part of this reunion, having left the band in 1999 but staying close to the brothers over the years.

While Noel has remained quiet about the reunion publicly, his younger brother hasn’t been so stoic with his social media antics.

Liam has been hyping up the Live 25 Tour at every opportunity and even throwing out the odd kind word about his brother.

He assured fans they would ‘still wipe the floor with majority of bands out there’ despite being apart for 16 years.

When one fan asked Liam: ‘Is it true that Oasis will have a new album???’, he replied: ‘Yep it’s already finished.’

Even better, the Stop Crying Your Heart Out hitmaker promised we would all be ‘blown away’ with the reported six songs.
