Jeff Goldblum had Oscars viewers in tears after spotting what he was looking at on his phone during the ceremony.

The Jurassic Park star, 72, was in attendance alongside his Wicked co-stars including Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as the musical epic was up for 10 awards.

While the film only walked away with one accolade for makeup and hairstyling, Goldblum caught a lot of attention on the night after being caught looking at himself during the ceremony.

The actor, who sat next to Shauna Robertson during the ceremony, was busted checking out his red carpet pictures from earlier in the night.

He also appeared to show Robertson the snap, which shows the star in a dapper red carpet look of black trousers, a statement blue floral shirt, a white jacket, and a purple floral brooch.

‘Jeff Goldblum checking out his own red carpet pictures at the #Oscars has me cackling,’ Seanlofficial wrote on X.

Irrelevant News joked: ‘Life, uh, finds a way to make sure the angles were right,’ referencing his iconic role as Dr Ian Malcolm in the Jurassic Park franchise and one of his most memorable lines.

‘Aww cute … very relatable,’ Naturalheals_211 wrote, while Johneman8 stated: ‘Jeff Goldblum is cool enough to do that.’

Others called the star a ‘man of the people’ and admitted they would be doing the same at the star-studded event to make sure they looked good.

‘You know damn well we would all want to see our red carpet pics too!,’ SMHonk1983 admitted.

Speaking on the red carpet at the event, the actor teased what fans can expect from the second part of Wicked, titled For Good, which will be released on November 21.

He told ABC News that there will be ‘some emotional complications and twists’ in the film.

‘Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo, Elphaba and Glinda, oh my gosh, will further thrill you and chill you and devastate you, yes,’ he continued.

The Fly star teased: ‘I don’t want to be a tattletale or a spoiler. Well, I do something in it. I may be tuneful.’

Goldblum plays The Wizard of Oz in the prequel story for the 1939 classic of the same name.
