WWE fans ‘can never trust again’ after biggest shock in history
Elimination Chamber ended on the biggest bombshell.

WWE fans have been left with major trust issues after Elimination Chamber 2025 when John Cena betrayed them after over two decades.
The living legend has turned heel in brutal scenes as he, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson and Travis Scott left Cody Rhodes a bloody pulp to kickstart the Road to WrestleMania.
For the first time since the early 2000s, Cena drew the ire of fans with ‘you sold old’ chants reigning down as the future Hall of Famer chases a record 17th world championship.
‘Man, WWE feels so real to me that after seeing what Cena did last night, there was a moment I just decided I can’t trust anyone anymore,’ wrote @Amit_280501 on X.
My trust issues were already bad enough and now John Cena is evil,’ added @EhBoldYinTwitch, while @Ball_atreides tweeted: ‘If Cena can turn heel who I am supposed to trust?’

‘John Cena just turned evil, can’t trust a soul anymore,’ agreed @jayy_herbo, as @KumaStix quipped: ‘In the club rn thinking, if you can’t trust John Cena, who can you trust?’

They were soon interrupted by The Rock in his Final Boss persona with hip-hop star Travis Scott by his side. as he urged the Undisputed WWE Champion to sell his soul and become his personal corporate champion.
Cody delivered a foul-mouthed response to turn him down and Cena hugged him, only to let his face drop as Dwayne made a cut throat gesture, and the trio launched a brutal assault.
After the show, Cena came to for the press conference but simply dropped the microphone and walked back out again.
The stage is now set for a fascinating build to WrestleMania in Las Vegas, as a Hollywood duo of Cena and Rock – with Travis Scott joining the fun – look set to run roughshod over WWE.

‘Yes,’ he smiled. ‘I feel like with Travis, Travis loves pro wrestling and he’s a culture guy. Travis Scott is already one of the greatest of all time.’
He added: ‘Some, like Travis, deeply wanna get involved. That’s what you saw tonight.’
It also puts a huge question mark over the bulk of Cena’s retirement tour, as he eyes up his final ever match in December this year after 23 years in the business.
What appeared to be a triumphant tour de force is now something much more interested, as a desperate legend sells his soul for one more shot at glory.

Previous Page Next Page‘Cena’s betrayal cuts deep! ????,’ wrote @RashedRafi14 on X, as @ImaGStukes tweeted: ‘John Cena has betrayed WWE.’
And @TheNewLoki13 added: ‘As a long time Cena fan, I question this story. Cena turning heel during his final run, his Farewell tour. I don’t get it. I feel betrayed. I want to cheer for Cena to win the record breaker, now I’m conflicted….. Why now??? #WWEChamber’
Until now, the closest fans had seen to Cena as a heel since his early days on SmackDown came in an nWo fever dream as part of his Firefly Fun House match against the late Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36.
This is something much more grounded and real, with WWE ready to usher in one of the most unpredictable builds to the Showcase of the Immortals in recent memories.
Speaking to the media in the post show press conference, Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque insisted even he has ‘no idea’ where Cena will take the character.
Cena has joined forces with The Rock against Cody (Picture: WWE)‘Even though we’re creating it, I’ll be honest, I have no idea what he’s gonna do as a heel. If we go back a year, when Rock turned, I don’t think anyone would have seen this Final Boss character coming,’ he said.
‘When you have people as good as Cody, Rock, Cena and mix that all together, it’s limitless. Even though I’m part of it, I want to see where it goes. As a fan there’s a part of me that wants to see where it goes.’
Elsewhere on the show, Jade Cargill made a triumphant return and took out Naomi at the beginning of the night before the women’s Elimination Chamber could even get underway.
However, fans still don’t know if the mystery of Jade’s attacker has truly been solved, with Bianca Belair still in the picture.
All WWE shows are available to watch on Netflix.
