The Bafta 2025 awards has gifted viewers with a universe-bending interaction between Kylie Jenner and host David Tennant.

The annual film awards ceremony celebrates the best of cinema from the previous year with this year’s big winners including Anora’s Mikey Madison, The Brutalist team and Conclave which scooped up best film.

The ceremony had plenty of memorable moments from Emilia Perez’s Zoe Saldana getting escorted off stage following an explicit speech to Bafta fellowship recipient Warwick Davis poignantly dedicating his award to his late wife.

The evening was helmed by returning presenter, Doctor Who star David Tennant, who kicked the star-studded festivities off with a rendition of The Proclaimers I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles).

And it wasn’t long before he came across buzzy Hollywood couple Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet – with the Kardashians star there to support her boyfriend who was up for his role in A Complete Unknown.

Stopping beside the unconventional couple, the Scottish screen star made a quip about the recent viral Timothee Chalamet lookalike competition.

‘Here’s someone else who deserves a special mention. We’re very privileged tonight to be joined by the runner-up of New York’s recent Timothee Chalamet competition. Welcome to the Baftas young man,’ he started as the Dune star politely nodded and everyone laughed.

‘There’s a definite likeness isn’t there,’ David continued the joke as he gave Timothee some vocal tips to nail his ‘impression’.

He then turned his attention to the 27-year-old model, who has been dating the Call Me By Your Name actor for two years.

‘But look, lovely attention to detail, you’re with a Kylie Jenner lookalike, well done.’

To which Kylie mouthed ‘it’s me’ just to clarify any doubts.

The ceremony also included a live performance from Take That where they sang 2008 hit, Greatest Day – another great British institution Kylie got to see in all its glory.

All in all, the whole evening sounds like a scenario accidentally generated by AI. The idea of the American reality star going through all of that was too much for some people to comprehend.

‘Didn’t ever think I’d see David Tennant and Kylie Jenner interact but here we are,’ @_ck12_ wrote on X.

‘Was not on my 2025 Bingo card For Kylie Jenner and a David Tennant Interaction,’ @thedutchxes agreed.

‘For some reason David Tennant and Kylie Jenner interacting feels like it should be impossible. Like I feel they’re somehow from different realities and this is a crossover episode. I wonder if they’ve met before this. Has she seen Doctor Who?? I need to know,’ @janitorjackie shared.

‘Something about Kylie Jenner and David Tennant meeting each other doesn’t sit right with me like they’re both in separate universes how has this happened,’ @ryansuk declared.

‘Imagining Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner’s internal monologues during David Tennant’s musical number is sending me,’ @holsosweeney joked.

‘I need to know what the f**k kylie jenner thought of David Tennant walking around singing 500 miles terribly,’ @katielauren wondered.

‘The Baftas pull together the most random people. Kylie Jenner is sitting there in a room being serenaded by Gary Barlow and rubbing shoulders with THE Celia Imrie,’ @coopernator said.

‘I need to see the cam footage of Kylie Jenner watching this Take That performance,’ @josieeboyd requested

‘Screaming at the fact that Kylie Jenner is currently sat watching take that perform,’ @avonskinggg shared.

And @kelly_jackson88 even suggested: ‘Someone take Kylie Jenner for a kebab after the ceremony. I need to know she experienced true British culture,’ just for good measure.

Tonight was a very British pre-cursor to the biggest event in Hollywood cinema, the Oscars, which takes place at the start of March.

Will Conclave continue its winning streak? Will Kylie show up to support Timmy once again? And will Emilia Perez be able to endure the ongoing controversy surrounding its lead star?

One thing is for sure – we can expect many more weird and wacky moments before the awards season is over.
