This isn't her first run in with fire.

Britney Spears has ‘burned down’ her bathroom.

The 43-year-old 00s popstar is no stranger to an enthusiastic dance video, but her latest came with a concerning confession.

Sharing on Instagram a video of her dancing in front of an open fireplace, she told fans: ‘I burned my bathroom down today, ran like a maniac back to the house because there was a pie in the oven.’

She continued to say she is ‘honestly tired of making sense of things these days’ and admitted she ‘dropped four sizes’ putting on her cheetah leotard as she hadn’t danced ‘in a long time’.

Britney paired the caption with a video of an erratic dance routine in which she wore black boots and a hat and could be seen strutting her stuff around the room, which was illuminated by a fire and a stray candle.

At multiple points, she could be seen slapping her derrière, along with other raunchy dance moves.

The Toxic singer turned off the comments for the post, which has been liked by thousands of her 41.8 million followers.

It remains unclear If Britney did, in fact, burn down her bathroom, as she has yet to share any photographic evidence but follows yesterday’s video where she was dancing in front of the fireplace again in a concerning manner.

The Grammy winner has had her fair share of frightening moments with fire in more recent years, with the most notable occurring just five years ago after she revealed to fans that she accidentally set her home gym on fire.

Recalling the incident in an Instagram post in April 2020, she told fans: ‘I walked past the door to the gym and flames… BOOM!!!!’

Thankfully, no one was injured in the blaze, as she added: ‘by the Grace of God the alarm went off.’

In a follow up post soon after, she shared more details about the scary ordeal, telling fans: ‘I had two candles, and, yeah, one thing led to another, and I burnt it down. So, I’m in here and we only have two pieces of equipment left, and I’m going to show you what I do during this time.’

In 2023, she shared images of the ash-filled room and, just one year later, would have another terrifying fire experience as she accidentally burned off her eyebrows and eyelashes while trying to turn on the fireplace in her room.

She told fans in a social media post last year: ‘Six months ago something happened that was really, really dangerous. I was in my room and I turned the fire on and all of a sudden it blew up in my face.’

Britney said the result was her eyelashes and eyebrows were burnt off, and she suffered facial burns, which she claimed hurt so badly that she had to take ‘three Tylenol’ – a form of Paracetamol.

The mother of two has previously spoken about her dislike for drugs and alcohol and said taking the pain relief was a ‘really, really big deal for me’.

Her post comes just days after she opened up about her heartache following her controversial conservatorship, which saw her father, Jamie Spears, make all of her decisions for her for 13 years.

Having been freed from the legal arrangement in 2021, Britney, 43, has reflected on the difficult time, telling fans she was ‘abused 100%’ during the arrangement and sometimes turned to alcohol when things became too hard.

The conservatorship ran between 2008 and 2021 and was such a strict agreement that anyone the Gimme More singer became friends with and where she was allowed to go were all controlled.

It was also revealed that her father and co-signer, lawyer Andrew M. Wallet, ‘logged her every purchase down to a drink from Starbucks.’

In November 2021, Britney was released from her conservatorship and has remained estranged from her father since.

Sources told People magazine that her relationship with her mother is a different story though: ‘Lynne is really making an effort to be in Britney’s life. Britney likes spending time with her.’

‘They have a complicated relationship, but it seems they both need each other.’
