2024 was a great year for adaptations, but 2025 might be shaping up to be an even stronger year.

For those who like to read a book before it’s on screen, here’s a breakdown of some of the best novels to add to your reading list before they are released on screen.

Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy

The fourth Bridget Jones film is set to be released on February 14, 2025, and is based on the third novel of the same name in the Bridget franchise by the author Helen Fielding – originally released in 2013.

The hype around the film has been huge and fans cannot wait to see what Renee Zellweger’s Bridget is up to now as a 51-year-old mum of two young kids.

The film focuses on Bridget’s search for love once more as she adjusts to life as a widow following the death of her beloved Mark Darcy (Colin Firth).
