The first celebrity has been evicted from Celebrity Big Brother 2025.

The likes of Trisha Goddard, Love Island star Chris Hughes and Jojo Siwa are taking part in the ITV reality competition this year.

And now, only 12 celebrities remain in the house after Michael Fabricant was voted out.

‘I’m very sad to be leaving all my friends,’ he told hosts AJ Odudu and Will Best after walking out.

He later added: ‘I’m sad because… we’ve all become such close friends! I love everyone there! We really bonded, they were great people, they were kind.’

When asked about the seven nominations he’d received from his fellow housemates, he said: ‘We all found it very difficult to come up with any sensible reason to nominate anyone.’

So far, most of the focus this series has been on Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke, who has caused quite the stir over his behaviour and received several warnings from Big Brother.

During the launch episode on Monday, he left people horrified after grabbing host AJ Odudu, pulling her towards him before eyeing her up and down.

His actions were branded ‘creepy’ and ‘vile’, with some even saying it was ‘harassment’.

He was later given a warning by Big Brother for using a homophobic slur against popstar Jojo, 21, after saying:  ‘If I stay longer than four days, you won’t be gay anymore.’

She went on to give him a killer nomination after the horrific comments he made, leaving him at risk of eviction alongside MP Fabricant and Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd.

With everything he’d said and done, some fans were convinced Rourke would be the first star evicted from the house.

But in tonight’s episode, we discovered who was the first housemate to be evicted after a public vote, with Fabricant leaving the show.

Fans admitted they were ‘gutted’ by the news, with @hearts4t_o_p writing: ‘It should have been Mickey evicted! I feel so bad for Michael.’

‘I knew Mickey wouldn’t go! Gutted,’ @shelleysilver3 said.

Lululu fumed: ‘WHAT DO YOU MEAN MICKEY IS STILL IN THE HOUSE??? GET THAT STUPID RAT BAG OF A MAN OUT.’

‘Michael going before Mickey is wild,’ David added.

‘IT SHOULDVE BEEN MICKEY!!!’ Robyn added.

‘You guys got the wrong housemate out it should’ve been Mickey,’ Daniel said, while Lauren wrote: ‘For god sakes public we had the perfect opportunity to get rid of nasty Mickey and we chose Michael ! Seriously.’

Fabricant also told Odudu and Best that Rourke ‘didn’t want to be there’ and had been telling other housemates that he’d be the one evicted.

The shock eviction came after a recap of the last 24 hours in the house, showing the celebrities performing for each other to win back electricity and hot water in the house.

Following Chesney Hawkes’ rendition of The One and Only, Fabricant was tasked with delivering a politician’s speech to his housemates.

However, he was quickly interrupted by Goddard, who warned him against spreading Islamaphobia.

The former MP for Lichfield, 74, had been sharing his thoughts on immigration, saying that he was an immigrant of French and Jewish origins.

‘Jewish people when they usually come to this country, believe “Do in Rome as the Romans do,” do not come to this country if your aim is to change everybody to your way of thinking,’ he had been saying.

‘There are other people,’ he continued before Goddard jumped in to say: ‘Hang on.’

TV presenter Goddard, who is undergoing breast cancer treatment in the house, didn’t seem thrilled to hear his initial thoughts, before then stepping in.

‘Are you slipping into Islamaphobia, because you’re going to have trouble,’ she said.

‘Who has mentioned Islam?’ Fabricant replied, as other housemates chose to leave the conversation.

‘Don’t misunderstand me,’ he went on. ‘This country has benefited by wave upon wave of immigration.’

He later said in the Diary Room: ‘Trisha was jumping to conclusions about what I was getting at, she was stereotyping me as a Conservative MP, and then she suddenly jumped onto the subject of Islamaphobia which is not what I was getting at, as I made it very clear.’

‘I thought it was a bit simplistic of her to jump onto that and I didn’t like it,’ he added.

Speaking on Late and Live, he also told hosts Odudu and Best that Goddard ‘has an agenda’.

‘I think Trisha misunderstands how politics is a broad thing, you can be a left-wing Conservative or a right-wing Labour guy, they actually overlap and I think she maybe was a bit stereotyping,’ he went on.

He added that it wasn’t his plan to talk about immigration, saying: ‘I think one person took it too seriously, it was meant to be light-hearted.’

In Thursday’s episode, Fabricant shared his upset at being nominated, saying it was worse ‘than losing the general election’.

He said: ‘I’m quite enjoying this… I’ll be quite sad (to go), (I’m) up against a Hollywood star and then a Corrie star. I don’t fancy my chances for remaining.’

After being comforted by Shepherd, he added: ‘That’s why I’m so upset because everyone seems so nice. Actually I feel more upset about this than losing the general election.’

Fabricant lost his seat in Parliament at the last general election and was booed when he was first introduced to the Big Brother house.

Jack meanwhile said he felt ‘fine’ after being nominated, citing his jokes not going down well as a possible reason why.

‘I’d like to stay,’ he added.

Celebrity Big Brother continues on Sunday at 9pm on ITV1.
