Mickey Rourke has been slammed after he grabbed Celebrity Big Brother host AJ Odudu.

The Hollywood star, 72, is best known for starring in films including Body Heat, Diner, Sin City and The Wrestler.

On tonight’s episode of the ITV reality series, for which he’s reported to have been paid £500,000 to appear, he was the last one to enter the house.

But before he even made it in, his behaviour sparked scenes many said was out of line.

As he got up on stage, Will Best introduced Rourke to his co-host AJ Odudu, with the actor then grabbing her around and twirling her around.

He then pulled her into him, with AJ looking shocked.

‘You’re very flirtatious,’ she declared as he put his hand around her waist.

As AJ began talking, Rourke looked up and down at her, complimenting her appearance and then leaning back to look at her bum.

‘Stop looking at me! It’s time for you to get inside the house,’ she told him while trying to get things back on track.

She then turned him around by his shoulders and directed him to the door, with the actor then saying: ‘No, I want to stay with you.’

As AJ tried to get him to walk quicker after he stopped to greet the crowd he then tried to drag her in with him, with Will telling him: ‘Don’t take AJ with you!’

Watching on at home, many people were furious at what they’d just witnessed.

‘Mickey Rourke is making me uncomfy already,’ Lily posted on X.

‘Got to feel for AJ there, getting harassed live on tele trying to stay professional… Mickey first out hopefully,’ Matty shared.

‘I put money on Mickey Rourke getting kicked out within the next few days. How he treated AJ was totally unacceptable,’ Laura wrote.

‘Everyone’s joking about Mickey Rourke, and I get why, but I want to be serious for a second. No female TV presenter should be made to feel like AJ just did. He shouldn’t have been allowed on this show if he can’t control himself around women. I hated that ngl,’ Siobhan added.

Others called his actions ‘creepy’ and ‘vile’, with some saying it was even ‘harassment’.

Soon after, the incident was addressed on Big Brother Late and Live, with guest Alan Carr bringing it up.

‘Find someone who looks at you like Mickey Rourke looks at you. His tongue was hanging out!’ he told AJ.

She then quipped: ‘You can’t afford these feathers, Mickey!’

Although she tried to move on quickly, the crowd also booed when Rourke’s actions were brought up.

The former Masked Singer contestant – who dramatically quit the show – has an estimated net worth of $5 million (£3.8m).

However, a source recently told MailOnline that Rourke repeating his past reality show behaviour has been described as the ‘worst case scenario’.

The insider continued: ‘The last time [Mickey] was really big was during The Wrestler, and he like everyone else needs to pay some bills.

‘So doing the show is a no brainer. He’s a producers dream because he has loads of stories, is a loose cannon, he is considered a huge get.

‘Producers always hope for the train-wreck but being a revelation works as well, if we see a new side of Mickey that could work.’

Metro has contacted ITV for comment.

Celebrity Big Brother continues tomorrow at 9pm on ITV1.
