Danny Jones ‘holds crisis talks with wife’ after Maura Higgins kiss

Danny Jones and his wife are ‘keen to move on with their lives’ after he was caught kissing Maura Higgins.

Last weekend the McFly star, 38, was seen appearing to kiss his I’m A Celebrity campmate Maura, 34.

Danny, who has been married to Georgia Horsley since 2014, appeared to kiss the Love Island star in the early hours of Sunday morning when they were attending Universal Music’s Brit Awards after-party.

Sources said the pair seemed to be having a great time’ before sharing a ‘brief drunken kiss’.

While neither have spoken publicly about what unfolded, it’s now been reported Danny and his wife held ‘crisis talks’ in the aftermath but now want to ‘move past it’.

‘This saga has been embarrassing, and Danny had a lot of explaining to do,’ a source has said, claiming that Danny and Georgia have spoken about the musician’s night at the Brits afterparty.

According to the insider, the couple – who’ve been together for 14 years – are ‘keen to just move past it and get on with their lives’.

‘They’ve been away for a few days, and they are focused on being a family unit,’ they said while speaking to The Sun, emphasising that the married couple are ‘both committed to each other’.

Although Georgia, who won Miss England in 2007, had been due to appear at public Q&A alongside her Mum’s the Word podcast co-host Kelsey Parker at The Baby Show at London’s Excel Centre this Saturday, she’s now reportedly pulled out.

However Danny is set to appear on The One Show tonight – his first TV interview since been seen kissing Maura.

After meeting in 2009, Danny and Georgia got married in 2014. They share son Cooper, 5.

Last year she spoke about the ‘secret’ to their relationship.

‘Something that’s really important for a successful marriage is time apart, it keeps the relationship fresh. We’ve always said that – as long as we’ve been together, we’ve always enjoyed our separate times because when we’ve reunited it’s even nicer,’ she told OK!

‘Communication is key, as well. It’s something we had to relearn after having a baby – it’s just constant resentment at the other partner for not doing enough, even though they are. But in the end it all comes together if you keep talking to each other.’
